“Instructor Shadis, Sir, I uh, need to tell you something...”
For @gedrillt
The rain, the storm, the roars. It happened out of nowhere. One minute she was waving Levi off, wishing him luck on his mission to kill Erwin and retrieve the documents, the next her eyes were wide and she was using her 3DMG trying her best to stay alive.
Stay close.
It was the last thing she heard from Farlan. And despite her best efforts, she just couldn’t see past the fog and the rain. Disorientated by the loss of sight, her ears picking up the screams, the shouts, the pain of the scouts as well as the roars from the titans.
Isabel landed on the back of a titan, trying to get her baring's, calling out for Farlan, even shouting Levi’s name, losing any hope. She was alone in this nightmare.
That’s when she saw it. The huge tennis ball eyes, the hungry look, the charge as it ran towards her. “Shit”. Her foot slipped, she fell with her gear, the panic stopping her thinking rationally. with one last shout, she called once again for her brothers. Her eyes closed, terrified of what was happening. The titan’s mouth wide...
It was true what they say, she screwed her eyes and thought of nothing but the times with Levi and Farlan. She felt like she was flying once more. Was that it? Was she dead?
Finally she opened her eyes, and she was flying. But she wasn’t dead. Levi had saved her at the last second. He dropped her down and he was off again, killing the titans in sight. She watched him and was never more pleased to see him. But where was Farlan?
“FARLAN!” Her voice called, getting up from her spot, running to the person laying on the floor. Not him... just the legs of someone she didn’t know, onto the next, and her eyes widened. “No.... NO!” she cried, a sound she had never screamed before as she dropped to her knees, grabbing onto the torso in front of her.
He would wake up. He had to. Her hair covered his face, getting drenched with mud and blood, caring about nothing else as she held tight onto the blond’s jacket. She cried like she had never cried before.

How amusing, if they saw the well known crazy Hanji Zoe, act so out of her character in front of commander shadis but hanji made sure that this secret will remain hidden behind doors, and as unprofessional as she looks right now ( all training to be proper gone in an instant ) , Hanji stood up straight and looked up to him with a flush on her face. Stuttering won’t get you anywhere , a mantra she reminded herself but it still went the same.
“ I-I was.. I was -’’ Nice going hanji. She stiffened and looked anywhere but keith. “ Sir, I-I was looking for you to give my report sir! “

Rhetorical question or not, the girl was inclined to give him an answer, given the circumstances, she should give her all to allow him to let her help. In terms of ranking, she might well be nothing, just a cadet, still in training. He was way over her hierarchically and she held no real power inside the military. However, that didn’t make her at all powerless. “I’m your best student.” There was no official ranking yet, but anyone paying enough attention should reach the same conclusions as herself. Mikasa exceeded herself and all of the others in every subject. There were whispers about how unprecedentedly skilled the raven-haired girl was. And if bringing that fact to their argument was necessary for her to reach her goal, so she would. Time was precious and she would rather get into action already instead of wasting both of their times argumenting about if she should or not come as well. “We are far from any district for the backup reach us in time. I’m your best choice.” It was an annoyance that such thing would happen to them so far away, but that was maybe the reason they would be STUPID enough to abduct cadets. Drenching her hands in slaver’s blood once again was not how she thought her weekend would go. Years passed and the world continued to show its true face to her. Heinous as always.
"You wanna terrorize me huh?"

“It’s honeycomb,” she murmured, a soft smile on her lips that echoed years worth of friendship, laid dormant like trees in winter and finally thawing in the spring. truthfully, her hair, a shock of red with some white hairs streaking through, looked like birch and cherry fruits from afar. “It was your favourite, If I’m remembering correctly,” Edeline was usually correct, seeing as she kept a notebook of everyone’s most treasured foods, trinkets, and the like. even though she’d had to flip through quite a few pages to find Keith’s, his was still there, written in much neater handwriting than hers had eventually evolved into.
she didn’t question why she’d been assigned to the 104th as medical corps leadership; any chance to get away from the aristocracy, she’d take. reuniting with Keith had been an unexpected part of her officially named and gently mumbled dismissal. nevertheless, she held the jar of honeycomb out in her palms — at least to her, he was still a dear friend; she kept her promises.
“... it’s good to see you again, Keith. I missed you.”

Isabel didn’t like this guy from the moment he headbutted Levi. But she had made a promise to behave and do as she was told but even though she was strong to her word there was somethings she just couldn’t do. And put all her effort into cleaning this room on her own was beyond a joke.
She had no desire for praise from Shadis, and had no need to impress him. Isabel knew she could clean up well but her energy was falling due to all the training.
Her lips were tight, sitting cross legged on the chair, hair a mess and clearly looking warn out, she refused to answer him or even stand up at the sight of him. It wasn’t the best she could do at all, but it’s the best she’s willing to do. At least the table was clean. Her heart skipped a beat when he found her sock, keeping her lips tight and her gaze harsh, refusing to admit or deny anything.
It was true. She had stolen it, but it was to share with the birds that would come by. Isabel would give her last meal to an animal if they came over to her. This is why the horse stables wasn’t a punishment at all. But she kept her face stern, not letting him see she didn’t mind giving all she had when it came to the horses. She found pride in cleaning them out, taking away their dirt and giving them brand new hay and water to drink.
The stables would be cleaner than this room when she was done. Because unlike Shadis, Isabel wanted to do what she could for the horses. Maybe she’d steal a few apples on the way for them as well.
“How long is a break?” she spoke finally, pushing back her fringe, “I aint havin’ you on my ass about taking too long off” Isabel took the bread from her sock and took a bite in front of him, pressing his buttons slightly.
