“Oh, hey Lapis. Good to see you up and about. You feeling okay?”

Greg was situated at the carwash, as usual, but was lounging in the back of the van with the doors open and Cat-Steven perched on his chest. The kitten was comfortably napping. Frankly, Greg wanted to join her. He’d seen Lapis coming, though, and wanted to greet her.

“Sorry about how casual and stuff it is here. It’s been kinda quiet since the others left for Homeworld,” he said. He imagined that Bismuth had filled Lapis and Peridot in. Why wouldn’t she?
