bAsiCAlLY, lil sunny here grew up in a household w/the only kids being her and her older brother who is legit like two/three years older than her
here’s where the good shit starts okay u ready
their pops is a cop which is 10/10 lit apart from the fact that big brother hated how sheltered their father was determined to keep the two and he basically just complained 24/7 about all the kids he’d have to take to the station and what a disgrace it was and warned his kids to never wound up like them.
basically flashforward her brother just wasn’t having any of that shit and rebelled against their pops.
and it just became a thing where her brother was so determined to wind up their dad bc he knew he could by going completely against him and his pops would never let him get arrested or in any legal trouble because it would damage their ‘picture perfect’ family image.
while all this was going down sunny was legit scared shitless of disappointing her father? like to the point it’s actually crippling and she spent hours upon hours trying to do everything to be the image of perfection; she’d study for the perfect grades, she attended tennis lessons at the local country club with family friends, she went to church, she volunteered her time.
back to when shit rly rly rly hit the fan. basically, their dad realized that his son was only going to keep acting out, and resulted to punishing him physically as he had found no other method would work. this happened a couple of times on and off until her brother fled from their home one night to never return.
which should’ve been a good thing really, it would mean there wouldn’t be so much tension in the home. bUT NAAAAAH.
because of this the pressure on sunny was amplified by an excessive amount; her father paying such close detail to everything she did to ensure she wouldn’t screw up their image or reputation or fall out of line like his son had.
and basically she started getting the physical abuse directed at her? but it was for super petty reasons like, if she came home even a minute late from curfew, or her grade dropped from an A to a B, or if she mixed up her plans and was unable to attend an event; basically it just was really fucking out of hand and as i said before, very petty?
but pops didn’t think he was doing anything wrong?? it was just his way of keeping his kids kid in line?? aND beCAuse hE’s A coP he’s super high n mighty n cherished by everyone and it kinda makes sunny sick because none of them understand what goes on behind closed doors smh.
oh also she’s currently a law student despite the fact that’s not at all what she wanted to do because again....... daddy issues didn’t wanna disappoint pops because even though she’s twenty-two she’s still very much under his control and can’t imagine ever standing up to him.
okay ya’ll this was legit super rushed i hella apologize. but basically sunny lives up to her label of ‘the pristine’ to a fucking t. she’s never done drugs and wouldn’t dream of it, she rarely drinks, has never broken a law in her life and kinda generally panics at the idea of doing so. probably has had like.... one boyfriend ever and it was a family friend or something. i’m half debating on making her a virgin like she’s THAT pristine okay. she still occasionally goes to church and wears a little gold cross around her neck but the thing is she stopped believe in god long ago? like when her father turned abusive she would pray that he would stop and once god wouldn’t answer her prayers she slowly stopped believing. legit can’t say ‘no’ to anyone, is compassionate as hell and just wants to constantly help?? like if you’re in trouble she will 100% try to help you no matter what. aLSO SHE WILL GET SO ???? - she’s english from surrey so she has quite a heavy accent and she’s definitely grown up well off. think one of those really posh neighborhoods with huge fancy houses? anyway yes she grew up well off but her family life wasn’t the best -- literally her only support system was her twin and they rely eachother for everything (more on those twitches later though i’m still working out the kinks for her and her family life i’ll have a bio thing up soon i promise!!!)
- she’s grown dependent on drugs over time despite her want/need not too because of what she saw her parents become. what happened was she felt an overwhelming pressure to do and be better that she needed pick me ups and she turned to the only thing that she had right there for her -- it started off small at first, things like adderall to pass her exams and such, but later grew into a habit that she had to suppress every day. she thinks she hides it well but she’s really starting to crack.
- she’s usually quite withdrawn, but when she’s high she tends to be a bit more outspoken -- she’s the type of girl to compete until she’s dead for literally everything?? she’s leans more into scholarly types of things (she’s going to uni for pre-med) BUT she is quite the good pianist and skates a lot in her spare time.
- she likes to think she always has shit handled but she really doesn’t?? she also is quite the romantic girl despite her terrible romantic timing. she has constant crushes but nothing ever seems to work out in her favor. she doesn’t really like hooking up with people (but has done so at parties during high school / college under the influence of many things) and always wants to have a connection with people despite her affinity of going for guys and girls who don’t really want any sort of connection with her
