Honestly, the more I continue my series 15 (re)watch, the more I come to love Gemma and wish she’d lasted longer on the show. I feel like she’s so underrated - a hidden gem, if you’ll excuse the pun.

She’s just such a great and likeable and interesting character to watch, and Ty Glaser is such a good actress as well. It really is a shame she was only on the show for 11 months. There was so much more potential in her. Though I guess maybe it’s a good thing she didn’t stay into the later days of Holby, as they would’ve ruined her character or shoved her into some sort of sensationalist and/or misogynistic (probably both) storyline.
