It’s been awhile hasn’t it? Hello!! I took a break online so I can adjust 2 my new schedule at my current school + lack of motivation. But hurrah!! Summer vacation = things!! I will now b mainly active on here rather than other platforms, frankly it’s just more whimsy here :-3. Here have been my current YKW art pieces!!! I’ve been enjoying art so much more lately, I’m glad ^^. Hope ur having a nice day!!! Enjoy ^^ (also yes I changed my username I’ve wanted 2 change my old alias 4 awhile now so I did!!)

A while ago, UnderScore ,who is part of the Yo-kai Craft team, asked me if I could draw some YKC characters that they sent me. So here's the first one: Amethnyan!

Amethnyan as you can see is a fanmade 6th Gemnyan based on an Amethyst! (Credits to Yokai Benja as always for the medal used in the nametag)

So as you can see, drawing them wasn't an easy task. Doing the lineart was obviously easy, but you're aware I'm talking about the shading and the crystal texture. I won't bore you with the specifics, I'll just say that I used Dianyan as reference for it, used 4 different shades of purple and used a gradient to make them look more crystal-like.

As for the pose? Well in Yo-kai World they gave the Gemnyans new renders where they're doing poses to match a 5 pointed star, so I tried to make Amethnyan fit in and make it a 6 pointed one^^

If you're wondering why it looks familiar, that's because that's the pose they all do on their medals! Which reminds me!

I of course had to make them a medal too that matches the others :)

And that's all for now! I enjoyed drawing this character despite me not liking Nyan-Fan-kai that much since there are already too many Nyan-kai, but a 6th Gemnyan wasn't so bad. Plus, it allowed me to practice drawing that crystal texture for both render and medal, which will be very useful for when I draw other crystal-like Yo-kai :]
