Luther paid a visit to his parents, he was also going to greet his younger brother Matthias who was back from one of his journey. Matthias was going to stay at home and help with the farm for a while, as Florence and Lawrence were now very old.
Not longer after in fact, Florence peacefully died in her sleep. It almost seemed that she waited to see her sons one last time before parting. All the family was devastated, especially Lawrence. The love of his life was not with him anymore. Still, death his part of life. Florence lived a happy and fulfilled life, surrounded by her loved ones.

Family Tree
Hate to do this post, but I have to sooner or later.
Luther was leaving for Winderburg the next day, so he indulged himself a walk through his old village. A once abandoned building was transformed into a bakery, he decided to buy some sweets for his family before leaving. A young boy was serving at the counter. He was probably a few years older than his nephew Martin. The boy seemed familiar, Luther had a strange sensation looking at him.
-How can I serve you Sir? You're new to Henford on Bagley? I don't remember seeing you before- he said.
-Is there a customer Ferdinand?- called a voice.
-Yes mom!- the boy responded.
A woman entered the room, and she looked quite familiar.
-Luther...- gasped Marianne. In a few moments Luther was brought back to his teenhood, when he was naive and in love.
The two of them started to talk outside. There was no point on denying: Ferdinand was Luther's son. He had the same greyish eyes of the Walsh!
-We could have never stay together. When I discovered to be pregnant you've already left- she said. -I've decided to go on with my life. Ferdinand is good and happy, he thinks he's my husband's son. And my husband treats him well.-
Luther was angry more than desperate: -I had the right to stay by his side! He's my...-
-Mom, is everything okay?- Ferdinand was standing next to them.
-Yes... he's an old acquaintance of mine. But now he's leaving- said Marianne.
Luther couldn't' speak. Tell the truth to Ferdinand and potentially ruin his life? Would it be better for him to stay oblivious of his origins?
At the dawn of 1900 some things are changed, some others are the same. Modern technology brings electricity and plumbing in the house, so the Walsh have now an indoor bathroom. Still, they are living a simple life, eating their crops, drinking their milk.
Lawrence and Matthias are still toddlers, two troublemakers. Pauline is learning house chorses from his mother, she's beautiful like a procelain doll, and quite as tranquil. Lawrence senior is working at the farm while his first born Luther is studying.
Not having Luther helping in the farm it's a shame, but he was such a good student that the family decided to let him study at a local school, that is now public.

You can find gen 1 here : THE BEGGINING | THE END
First post of 1900 decade! Yay! I didn't do a poll to decide the heir... I'm to attached to Luther and I have an Idea for his story. The other brothers will be very present as well, especially Pauline which is my only girl.
Henford on Bagley keeps on being beautiful, the air is clean, the sun warm and my health is improving. Yet, within your absence, the birds' singing is less joyful, the grass less green and the sky so small. The thought of your person, working hard for the sake of your family, brings me joy.
I wish you could see how much our sons are growing. May is almost a woman, she's the most precious older sister, but sometimes she seems melancholic. I've never saw her with friends of her age.
Lawrie, our little boy, is so sweet and well behaved. He likes to draw, and he's particularly attached to her cousin Lizbeth, who's just a few years younger.
I'm mostly concerned about Olive. Sometimes she's enthusiast regarding her music studies. She's so talented, way more than me, when I was her age.
But some other times she is defiant, preferring to play with her cousins Bruno and Abbie. She's not the best student either when it comes to mathematic, grammar and geography.
I'm sure your answer will bring me advice. I'm sending to you the last portrait of our sons.
One day, on her way home, May Florie heard her mother screams. Elaine was giving birth. The childbirth was difficult, however Elaine was able to deliver a boy. He was small and thin but apparently healthy. Luther called him Lawrie Finn.
Elaine was so exhausted, she couldn’t even hold her the newborn. Luther was moved by the birth of his first son. Olive and May seemed just as ecstatic to see their tiny little brother.
“Why mom isn’t here?” asked May.
“She needs to rest, my angel” replied Luther with a worried voice.
Fyodor invited May to join them that Sunday when the school was closed. So the girl left her home quietly, telling her parents she was gonna meet some girl friends. She ran into Terrence on her way.
"Oh, you're here again..." he said with a frowned face.
"Your uncle invited me!" May replied.
"Why bothering learning science?" asked Terrence. "You’ll never be a doctor."
“But I’ll will. Wait and see...”
Terrence had a copy of the school keys, so they sneaked inside before the arrival of Fyodor and started they experiments.
After a while the two kids started to blabbing about their future inventions. Terrence forgot he was talking to just a girl.
"I want to find a medicine that helps women after they give birth" said May, thinking about his ill mother.
They did not realise that Fyodor was watching them the whole time.
"Ah... to be young" he sighed, leaving Terrence and May to their fantasies and dreams.
May Florie aged up right before her mother discovered to be pregnant for the third time. Elaine was quite frightened at first, but Luther promised "If we’re together, everything will be fine.”
Luckily the girls kept getting along, playing at home and in the snowy garden.
The pregnancy, however, turned out to be more difficult than the previous ones. Elaine was tired and sore, spending her days in bed. Luther decided to hire a maid, and commanded his wife to rest.
Luther couldn't help but wondering, how would his life been if he stayed with Marienne. Was it true love? Or a teen infatuation? Watching his family, his daughters, son and lovely wife he couldn't ask for more. Still, he had some responsibilities toward his first son and Marienne. What to do?
The day he had to leave eventually came. May wasn't really happy about it, she really loved his dad. But before leaving for good Luther decided to stop by the bakery...
-Ferdinand, right?- said Luther, seeing the boy outside of the bakery.-
-Umh.. I don't know if I should speak to you Sir, you made my mother sad yesterday- replied the boy.
-I’m sorry about that, we were friends a long time ago... but you know, thing may change,- explained Luther.
-Excuse me, I have to come back to work,- said Ferdinand visibly embarrassed.
-Just please answer me... are you happy? Is your father a good man?-
-I mean... we are just a modest family, but I guess I'm happy. My father is very kind and an hard worker.-
-Good... good...- said Luther. -Listen Ferdinand, I want you to take this. Is my address. My door will be always open for you, if you or your mother are in need just knock on my door.
