Family Photo | Soul Food Legacy
The Taylor's had no idea this would be the last family photo they would have with all of them together. Life has a way of surprising you in that sense. Shortly after this photo Mr. Taylor had passed. Marzenia lost a husband, Simone and Ezra lost a dad, and Kennedy lost a grandpa. Life wasn't the same after that summer.

Soul Food Legacy Challenge | Gen 1 : Simone Taylor
Simone has just recently moved into her parent’s home after the passing of her mother. This house meant everything to Simone and when her mother passed she couldn’t bring herself to see it be sold. There’s just something about this place the memories, the beautiful kitchen and the neighborhood. Who could walk away from all that? Even though this is a difficult time for Simone she is trying her best to smile(or even sing) through all the pain. Simone is a single parent to a very social butterfly teenager named Kennedy(Kenny) who can occasionally be a little naive (something Simone swears she gets from her father). Occasionally these two may bump heads but for the most part they have a pretty supportive relationship. But Simone is starting to realize that owning an old house comes with a lot of problems. Something is constantly breaking and as much as she wants to keep calling her little brother Ezra to fix things there's only so much he can do. As Ezra would say "I'm a fireman, not no repair man."
Simone: I guess I'll have to call a repair man.. these pipes aren't gonna fix themselves.
