“Alright, then.” Aziraphale straightened up. “I’d like to be a dragon, please.”
“No.” Crowley rolled her gorgeous eyes at him. How could he – she – they be so arresting in every form? “That’s too much for you,” she continued. “Too much for most demons, really. And it’s a temptation, not the fulfillment. You don’t get the whole dragon package unless you sign on the ultimate dotted line, and even then it’s not something you jump right into.”
She gave him a longer, assessing look. “Besides, what would you even do as a dragon?”
Ha, Aziraphale hadn’t even thought about it. He considered. “Fly, I suppose? And having fiery breath would probably come in handy. Or I could perch up on the roof there, be the guardian of Soho.”
Both the Crowleys snorted.
