Hi! If you don’t mind me asking, is there a reason why MC is gender-locked? I’m just curious since this would be the first time I’ve seen an IF with a gender-locked MC that’s not female
Hello!
I have been waiting for this ask, so, I am more than happy to answer it! And it got long! So!
So as most of you know, I've gender-locked the MC to Agender, or Genderless. I've got it written in the brackets beside it that it's still being decided. But, I am leaning more towards at least keeping the MC a non-binary person.
The decision was made when I was sitting on my sofa talking with my best friend (who is also trans) about transness in the IF community (He is btw not anywhere near the community, he's just super supportive).
I talked a bit about how many IF games feel very catered to a cis audience, especially cis women. And of course, that's fine, women are amazing and they deserve to have things. BUT- I am amazing too! I deserve to have things TOO!
I want to write a story that's a big fat love letter to other non-binary people. I want love interests where being non-binary and trans is a big part of their identity. I want to talk trans stuff!!
And I want an MC that gets it. I want to write scenes and story parts where the MC being trans is an important part in it.
For example. I have a scene planned out where a teacher casually asks the classroom to split into two groups, men and women. Your MC is left standing in the middle and has to decide to either pick a group they don't belong to, or speak up for themselves!
That's not saying that there aren't interactive games that DONT do this, heck, there are definitely games out there that do it better than me! Amazing games! And if you know of more of them, you need to tell me, so I can inhale them like air.
SO! To properly answer your question!
The reason why the MC is gender-locked is... because I am non-binary myself and I want to.
I still want to encourage ALL people to at least try the game out! I think you will still find the game very fun! And maybe you will see some things from a perspective you hadn't considered before!
Thank you so much for this ask! Writing all this down felt really good.
How some folks can see Karlach Baldursgate as trans and can see it in themselves, but I honestly do think it can be somewhat problematic at times. I don't think this take will be popular, but there's a lot to deconstruct in, "That is a strong woman, it is only fitting that in my thirst for her, I give her a penis to reflect the role I desire for her."
There's a few things, kinda' wrong with this.
Strong, tall, jacked ciswomen exist. We really can't just. Assert every tall strong woman is trans. Yeah, it's a hot concept, yeah, it makes people melt - peniswoman always has. But... y'know?
And like, I get it. Maybe you see your big strong trans friend in Karlach, and impose that image upon them. Maybe you see yourself in Karlach. I get that, that's like, fair.
But at the same time, Baldur's Gate is one of those few games where we can definitively know what's in someone's pants. Now, granted. I do know that the VA for Karlach is nonbinary and basically played the character as effectively nonbinary.
But that doesn't take away from the baggage of slapping a rod on Karlach because you want her to rod you 'til you see stars and can't walk. I mean, that really can be accomplished with a strap or other implements. It irks me, the notion that to be a big strong top you need a penis, that you need to have that, "Typically masculine aspect."
It's... I don't know if it's sexist, but the notions are rooted in something at least adjacent to sexism.
Please work to shed the notion that AFAB folks can not be big, strong, towering individuals who could fold you. It is a harmful notion.
For what it's worth? If you see her as such, if you really do want to express gender through her, you're like, allowed. There's absolutely ethical ways to do it. I mean honestly so long as you understand and acknowledge the issues at play here, you're mostly in the clear.
Just, I don't know.
Let AFAB folks be tough too? Please?
Would love to hear your thoughts about gender. your tags sounded super interesting
oh many SO many thoughts. the gender and sex binaries are western constructions. like straight up fabrications to impose masculinist and christian ideals (i have a whole other spiel about the demonization of sexuality that relates) created by white colonizers that used them to uphold a white supremacist, colonist system. however, recently (like within the past four decades) there have been MASSIVE strides in gender non conformity, but the act of rebelling affirms that there is something to rebel against. we are unable to conceptualize gender in a way not influenced by the binary system, which sucks. but ALSO gender expression is a super good thing and i don’t at all mean this in a “your gender is invalid because you’re affirming the gender binary system” because that’s ridiculous and gender can be really important to self expression and connection and gender and sex do go way beyond the western 2x2 system, we just can’t shake its influence. basically, gender is great and people should be able to do what they want, regardless of the binary, and also the sex binary is actively harmful to a lot of people so we need to dismantle the structure that created the binary but that means dismantling capitalism, colonialism, and most of how the world is currently constructed.
Hi! You've probably already talked about this before, and you absolutely don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but how did you figure out that you are bigender and not genderfluid? I'm currently questioning my gender again and your posts about being bigender helped me so much!
You know that was difficult in the beginning bc I did think I was either genderfluid or genderqueer. But once I discovered what Bigender was it honestly just felt correct. There’s really not any more that I can explain about the decision. It just felt right to me.
It’s same with why I’m pansexual instead of bisexual. The label of pansexual just feels right to me.
If patriarchy had a specific beginning in history,
It can also have an end.

Smash patriarchy
Patriarchy is a system in a society, where the male gender hold the power and the females are excluded. Given a super power this word is in the top of my list of words to be removed from dictionary.
The term in itself might sound new to many but is an age old practice that’s been there…
Im the sanji w male reader anon and im so happy that he made the list🥺🥺 male reader content is pretty hard to find :,)
Hi Sanji w male reader Anon!!
It is hard to find. It’s not something I typically look for, but when it’s posted by someone who I follow I’m not opposed to reading it.
I’m cool with writing just about any combination of genitals (I use genitals and not gender as sometimes it’s different 😉) a requester wants, I honestly just need to know what parts I’m working with to make a ns.fw request happen.
My go to is m/f pairing only because I’m a straight female 🤷🏻♀️ and it’s what I’m most familiar with in terms of personal experience. But feel free to drop a request for a male pairing if you ever want to! I’ll be happy to fulfill it!! ☺️🥰
