Genderfluid luffy highschool au where one day Luffy wore a sparkly dress and left glitter all over her partners cause she was constantly hugging and kissing them and since then Luffy made a habit of wearing an ungodly amount of body glitter cause she likes to see the glitter left all over them

I will never not push my Luffy likes "feminine" things or is genderfluid agenda.

Like, I feel like he would maybe not understand the concept of clothes and items being inherently feminine or masculine. Or maybe he just wouldn't care and would just wear stuff that he likes and feels comfortable in (As he absolutely should).

Makino, Shanks, and his crew were very supportive/didn't care if Luffy sometimes wore dresses or "girly things". Garp was never around enough to catch on and possibly try to say no.

Dadan hardly saw Luffy since he was always just out in the jungle. Ace and Sabo thought it was weird at first and kind of tried to explain, but gave up/accepted it when Luffy just did not get it/did not care.

He went on through his life just wearing what he liked and not giving a shit what anyone thought. It wasn't until he was a little older that he got negative feedback. After that, maybe he was a little more subdued about his interest in more "feminine" clothes and accessories.

I just think it would be sweet if he slowly got more and more comfortable around the crew and just kind of showed his true colors for them.

Like maybe Nami or Usopp was the first to know.

Like one day when they were in this little town on some island Nami finds Luffy outside some little boutique clothing store or something, looking in one of the windows longingly at this pretty blue skirt with sunflowers.

He's just standing there looking at it and kind of clenching his hands on his shorts. Then it kind of clicks for Nami. She comes up and asks if he likes the skirt. He kind of hesitantly says yes, then she says she'll buy it for him, but he owes her of course.

When she hands him the little bag with the skirt and a pretty pair of fish earrings she tossed in too he looks at her like she filled the sea and hung the stars. She soon starts having little dress up days with him and generally just bonding a little more.

If she sometimes treats him like a doll and spoils him with pretty things, no one needs to know.

With Usopp I feel like they would be walking together in a market in some town just talking and having a good time, when Luffy would get kind of quiet before trailing over to some vendor selling sundresses or something. He would look at this cute little yellow sundress with red fish on it then ask the vendor how much.

The vendor would smile, say the price, and ask if it's for his girlfriend. Luffy would kind of cringe (which Usopp absolutely catches) and kind of sweat his way through a very butchered answer of no.

The vendor might look at his with a kind of confused face before leaning in and asking if it's for Luffy. I feel like he would nod and then the vendor would either be chill with it, or react negatively. If they were chill, he would get the dress and Usopp would kind of breeze over it and store that for later. Or compliment his dress choice before launching into some grand story vaguely related to the topic of dresses.

If the vendor reacted negatively, then I think Usopp would step in and try to diffuse the situation or stick up for Luffy or something.

Anyway, I don't know why, but I would want those two to be the first to know. The rest can find our later. So yeah, tell me what you think

Genderfluid Luffy being the reason Sanji realized she's both bisexual and a girl is everything to me

And the moment she figures it out she's overthinking everything but luffy calls her an idiot and smiles at her and for a moment it makes all her problems disappear

Another day she might start feeling dysphoric, she might start wondering if she's really bisexual or if she's confused herself with her attraction to Luffy

But Luffy makes it so simple, and he'll always be there to help her with her worries until she can be confident on her own

Highschool genderfluid Luffy and transfem sanji

Luffy freely goes into both girls and boys bathrooms as they please depending on how they're feeling that day, they have never known fear and it's reasonable that they go to the boys bathroom when they feel like a boy, the girls bathroom when they feel like a girl, and either bathroom when they feel like neither or both

Sanji on the other hand realized she's a girl very recently and is insecure about going to the girls bathroom but doesn't wanna go to the boys bathroom so she just. Doesn't go at all. And Luffy is confused because "why aren't you going to the girls bathroom? You're a girl Sanji, you're allowed in there"

But Sanji just can't get over her nerves so one day Luffy drags Sanji into the girls bathroom during lunch, she stands up and declares she's going to the bathroom and that Sanji is going with her

Sanji sputters and tells Luffy that she doesn't need to go but luffy simply says that girls go to the bathroom together all the time and successfully shuts down any of sanji's arguments

"but I've never been to the girls bathroom" "so? Every girl goes to the girls bathroom for the first time at some point, doesn't matter if it was as a toddler in preschool or now, in highschool"

"what if the other girls don't want me in there?" "Why would they care? We're just going to the bathroom like everyone else"

Luffy continues to go to the bathroom with Sanji until Sanji can go in by herself without worry

Transfem sanji joins the strawhats but she doesn't know she's trans yet or that trans people exist

Then Luffy, his captain, turns out to be a boy?

And he's confused as fuck because he joined a beautiful lady's crew and this.. this wasn't her

And Sanji for a moment feels like he's gone crazy because nobody else is surprised at all and is acting like this is a totally normal thing??

Sanji plays along because maybe he really is going slightly mad

But then they save Nami and once again his captain is the lady he thought he joined and once again no one bats an eye!

Finally Sanji works up the courage to ask someone about it and he's shocked about their calm response being "yeah that's just how Luffy is, sometimes she's a girl sometimes she's a boy"

Sanji has a crisis because since when can people just do that??? Can anyone do that? Could he...?

Sanji pushes that thought to the back of his head

And that's as far as he ever intends on thinking about it. Luffy may be like that, wherever 'that' is, and that's 100% okay with him, but Sanji isn't like Luffy

Sanji can't just stretch his hair out and put it in all the cute hairstyles he often sees Luffy wear, Sanji can't wear cute dresses and skirts and actually look feminine, and Sanji definitely can't rock makeup the way Luffy does

Because sanji is a guy and Luffy is whatever Luffy is and it works, but it wouldn't for sanji and that's that

But somehow Luffy finds out because of course she does and sanji finds himself thrown into a surprise girls night and suddenly she's getting her nails done by Nami while Robin does her hair and Luffy looks through the closet for a suitable dress that matches her hair and nails

She doesn't even register when the girls start referring to her as a girl just like them

It takes a long time for sanji to finally accept herself, and it happens during the 2 years her and her crew were apart

When she comes back with longer hair and makeup that took her months to learn, no one bats an eye, they don't question it at all, and Sanji has never felt more loved

Luffy would force law to buy him a Pirate costume dress and law would grumble the entire time as he looked for one that would fit Luffy

He didn't complain when Luffy wore it for the rest of the day, or when Luffy dragged him to dance and law got to spin him and watch how the skirt swayed

The next time a dress caught Luffy's eye and he forced law to buy it law complained significantly less

When law boarded the sunny Luffy noticed law had chipped black nail polish and was immediately like "torao! What is wrong with you??? How could you let your nails get THAT colorless?"

And Luffy then drags law to the girls room to grab the nail polish and she sits law down on her bed and does his nails

She does a terrible job. Absolutely horrendous. So law takes over after Luffy does 3 nails, while they're there law also touches up Luffy's nails
