Tops Market Shooting

pls correct any mistakes.. sorry this took so long by the way.

Perpetrator: Payton Gendron

Age at the time: 18 [June 20, 2003]

Status: Alive

Location: 1275 Jefferson Avenue (Tops Supermarket), Buffalo, New York.

Day of the Attack: May 14, 2022

Weapons: Bushmaster Rifle (used), Savage Axis XP Rifle (unused), Mossberg Shotgun (unused).

Motive: White Supremacy

Punishment: 11 consecutive life sentences, 90 years in jail, and no possibility of parole.

Charges: hate crime resulting in death (10 counts), discharge of firearm to commit murder (10 counts), hate crime with intent to kill (3 counts),use and discharge of a firearm during and in relation to a violent crime (3 counts), and hate crime act with intent to kill (1 count). 27 counts total.

Killed: 10

Injured: 3

Payton Spencer Gendron was born in Conklin, New York. He had 3 brothers. His parents, Paul and Pamela Gendron, raised the 4 boys in a suburban home. Later in his life as a free man, he began to exhibit red flags. Payton says that he murdered a cat and felt no remorse for the action. Apparently the cat had attacked Paige, one of Gendron's cats.

He wasn't raised to have these views on race, it was a view that came during a period of isolation that came with the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time, he began to browse 4chan and became aware of “The Great Replacement Theory”. The theory states that non-white people will replace the white population and it is being done on purpose. This can be done through mass immigration, lower birth rates in white people, and other forces that will cause white populations to decrease in western countries. This theory or similar views are often used in manifestos of other mass killers

The lockdown had a negative impact on Gendron. He was paranoid about the pandemic all together, even being said to have worn a hazmat suit to class one day. School was another thing, Gendron didn't really have friends. He was quiet and a video showing him dancing was met with laughter from classmates. In an economics class, Payton made a comment saying “murder suicide” in response to the question “what do you plan on doing when you retire?”. At one point, he was sent to a mental health facility for one and a half days. It's said it's because he made a comment on shooting up the school.

Payton worked at the Conklin Reliable Market. He quit after 4 months.

in preparation for the shooting, Gendron wrote a 180 page manifesto. He writes of the great replacement theory, white genocide, mass immigration, etc. Through the manifesto, we find out a lot about Gendron. Gendron practiced christian values, but has no belief in an afterlife. He sides with fascism, anti-sematism, racism, and white supremacy. He claims he wasn't a part of any neo nazi organizations, but he supports neo nazism. Surprisingly , Payton supported LGB (in his words, drop the t). He said transgenderism should be addressed as a mental illness. He doesn't align with any political ideology, he just picked what he thought was correct. He prefers the term “populist” He cites Brenton Tarrant as a main inspiration for his views.

“Did or do you personally hate foreigners or other cultures?

No, many people and their cultures are great, but it’s important to note that they can only

stay great if they are separated from each other.”

“Did, or do you personally hate blacks?

A black man or woman living in their homelands? No.

A black man or woman choosing to invade our lands, live on our soil, live on government

support and attack and replace our people? Yes, I dislike them.

The only people I truly hate are the converts, those from our own people that turn their

backs on their heritage, turn their backs on their cultures, turn their back on their traditions and become blood traitors to their own race. They are not completely hopeless however. I believe some can come back, so it’s important to welcome them when they are awoken instead of shaming and ostracizing them.”

“If you survived, did you intend to go to trial?

Yes, and to plead guilty.”

“Were you taught violence and extremism by video games, music, literature, cinema?

No, only the truth caused me to seek violence.”

He chose the Tops market because of the population density of black people in the area. The time of his attack was chosen based on the time that the market would be most populated.

Payton's plan based on manifesto:

"The plan of action:

-At home I will pick up all my gear and put it in an industrial trash bag, then I will put this bag in

a laundry basket and place it on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I will put the three guns

(two of them have carriers) behind my seat with a blanket over them to cover it from outsiders. I

will also have discord at my house running a live recording of my twitch account.

-I eat a large portion of corn beef hash for breakfast

-I will leave my house at 7:30 and travel to Buffalo in regular clothing, should arrive just before 12:00

-At 12:00 I will go inside the store for the second to last time and make sure everything is as expected

-I will follow my planned course of action and make sure I know exactly where to go between 12:00 and 2:45. I will also get some food at McDonalds.

-At 3:30 I will park in the designated gear up spot off of Sherman St and fully gear up. I will take my 3 guns out of their carriers and put them in the passenger seat of my car. I chamber the shotgun and add another in the magazine tube, and do the same to the savage axis. Both of these guns will have the safety engaged. (I may change the location I gear up if I determine it is too risky.)

-At 3:50 I will publish my 8chan post on 8chan.moe, 4chan post on 4chan linked to 8chan post, send links to the discord servers I’m in, and send links to all people on my discord friend list.

After I’m done posting I will take the XM-15 and properly wear the sling and place the gun to the left of my legs. I insert the coupled magazines, chamber a round with the M855 mag and make sure the gun is on safe.

-At 3:55 I start the livestream, and make it out onto Sherman St, I will take a right on to High St, take a right onto Johnson St, make it across Best St onto Wohlers Ave, and park on the side of the road just before Riley St.

-At 3:57 I will turn the check my discord and check the camera to make sure the livestream is working

-At 3:58 I take a left on Riley St, I then turn into the parking lot at Top’s and disengage the safety on my XM-15.

-At about ~4:00 I park in front of the store right before the support beam, kick open the door and jump out of my car. In training this full action took between 2-3 seconds.

I first shoot the security guard and kill him by shooting through the front doors of the glass. His most common areas are located in orange. There is an overhand based on the camera position I should be in the camera’s blindspot. He should be just at the entrance of the store, if not at the cash registers. They may still have the glocks attached to them or they may have dropped it. If possible I kick the glocks away to a wall so it can not be used against me.

-I shoot all black people twice in the chest if possible, I turn left to the cash registers and open fire on the expected crowd of people at the cash registers. According to user reviews the store is notorious for being slow. Some will run away along the aisles. I make sure I never stop firing.

-I make it on the other side of the aisles and continue firing on all blacks, I go into the customers only area to check for runners and hiders, and make it to the deli and then back to the entrance.

-I shoot all downed blacks twice in the head, making my way to the register and aisles again, and back to the deli and back to the entrance.

-It should be leaving at about 4:04.

-Then I will go into my car and make it south on Jefferson Ave. Where I will take my Mossberg 500 and Savage Axis out from the seat and shoot at blacks on the streets. If all is expected I should pass some responding patrol officers at this time on Jefferson.

-I pass the House of China and start making my way across the Emslie neighborhoods, using all weapons I have available to me to shoot at nearby blacks.

-I should be stopped by police officers eventually in Emslie and then surrender to them. Or if I find another decent location the day of the attack (example being Walmart) I’ll head there.

Most importantly, the attacker must go through with the attack in their mind, it is very difficult for a normal person even with all the information to carry out an attack that will kill

another human being, or the fact that you may die that day. I don’t think there really is a way to train for this, but confidence in your goals and equipment may ease them. I think that live streaming this attack gives me some motivation in the way that I know that some people will be cheering for me. I am also decently protected by my armor so that gives me some confidence as well. Training with my guns also gives me confidence knowing exactly what I can expect by

shooting them."

About his guns:

Gendron brought a Bushmaster XM-15, Mossberg 500, and a Savage Axis XP. He wrote all over them before the shooting.

He bought his Bushmaster from a vintage firearm store. He illegally modified it using his fathers drill and a cobalt speedout #2. It was previously modified before Gendron obtained it. It had a locked magazine which Gendron then removed. He did not like this gun. This is the only gun used in his attack, the rest went unused.

Attack and Livestream:

The stream begins and Payton is pulled over. His plan was going accordingly so far as we see a mcdonalds bag on the floor. payton talks but his car is so loud you can't hear much of it. He puts on his helmet and his gloves before checking his phone.

“Give it one last check,” he says before opening his phone. 2:22 pm is displayed clearly.

“Okay, whatever. Thanks for the meme.”

He throws some stuff into the back seat including his mcdonalds bag and then fastens his seatbelt before leaving.

Payton takes a drive to the Tops market. no music, you can see gendron geared up in the mirror.

“Oh i missed my street ahhaha” he giggles. stream glitches in the copy i have. He continues to drive.

Payton stops the car and says “now I just want to make sure this works.” In all of my few months back in this community I have never seen a blunder to this degree. When Gendron pulls out his phone, a pornographic image of Martha Speaks is displayed on the screen. It was sent to him in a discord server, it was not his image. He scrolls before displaying the image AGAIN and then he puts his phone away. He grabs his water jug from the backseat and takes a sip. He puts it back before continuing his drive. He pulls into the Tops market. He pulls into a parking space.

“You just gotta go for it man. Gendron says before pulling out. He drives up to the store.

“it's the end.. right here.. going in. ”.

Gendron parks the car outside the entrance and then gets out of the car. He shoots a woman walking outside the store. He then proceeds to shoot several other people. The stream glitches. He walks around while shooting and aims at a man who shouts “NO!” and Gendron replies with “sorry” and walks away without shooting the man. The stream then was taken down by Twitch.

It's said he walked around, shot at people, yelled racial slurs, and was shot at by a security guard. Gendron would kill him too. Gendron then went out front and aimed his gun at his neck to commit suicide. The police were able to talk him out of it, since they were on the scene by this point. 10 people were killed and 3 others were injured. Gendron was detained at the scene and arrested. All 10 killed were black. 1 injured was black and the 2 others injured were white. Gendron was held on suicide watch. He at first pleaded not guilty under a plea deal but eventually pleaded guilty to 15 counts. Courts are going to seek the death penalty. This case is still ongoing.

Statement from Gendron:

"I'm very sorry for all the pain I forced the victims and their families to suffer through. I'm very sorry for stealing the lives of your loved ones. I can not express how much I regret all of the decisions I made leading up to my actions on May 14. I did a terrible thing that day. I shot and killed people because they were black. Looking back now, I can't believe I actually did it. I believed what I read online and acted out of hate. I know I can't take it back, but I wish I could. And, I don't want anyone to be inspired by me and what I did."

anyways a couple days ago (maybe yesterday or the day before) I seen a tiktok calling payton a larp and honestly......they weren't wrong....

im from the area where the tops incident happened so I think I'm more inclined to speak on how people reacted to what happened and also ive researched him sososososososo much so ya those r my credentials

anyways ppl claiming payton to be some based racist accelerationist hero are the biggest fucking tards ive ever seen and its so obvious that he was easily influenced by the internet and didn't hold up to any of his beliefs

ok before anyone calls this cope i genuinely wouldn't care if payton was racist or not (dsr is one of my all time favorite perps) and i actually agree with some of the things he said about race

i believe payton was very very impressionable and easily manipulated by things he seen online (he wore a fucking hazmat suit to school because of his intense paranoia surrounding the covid 19 pandemic) and he even credits the internet in his radicalization and wishes things were different. on multiple occasions in his discord logs he stated that he didn't even want to go through with the attack and was hyper-critical of himself to live up to people he admired (ex. dsr). payton barely interacted with others socially so honestly it would make sense for him to be persuaded by whatever he seen on 4cuck.

not to mention he quite literally went against his plans stated in his manifesto. originally, payton said he was going to plead guilty to all of his charges, in which he didn't as we know. he also said he was going to surrender to the police, and yes he did do that after he held his gun up to his neck and had to be persuaded to put it down.

all in all, this is just my opinion and things ive noticed
