Barbie was a fun movie, but it is essentially an advertisement going over superficial third wave feminist talking points from 2014 and essentially argues that "it's not the system that needs to change, but the people who work at the top of the system." I'm going to fully write down my thoughts about it later, but I'm a bit disheartened at the number of people who are taking this as a Great Feminist Piece when it's really just a shallow expression of "wow sexism is bad" paid for and funded by a massive corporation (that would LOVE it if you bought their merch btw). ESPECIALLY disheartened by people who view critiques of the movie as made solely by anti-fun men who hate feminism. Babes, maybe stop sucking off a corporation that wants to package feminism in a cute pink box for you to uncritically consume, and instead consider that if this movie is supposed to be political commentary, then you should treat it and critique it like political commentary.

1. Nickname - the closest i’ve ever gotten to a nickname is this girl in one of my drawing classes who calls me “genie-weenie” (and i honestly love it)

2. Gender - some sort of feral half-man half-beast who digs through garbage by night and also digs through garbage by day

3. Star sign - aquarius but i don’t see the point in astrology ever since i found out the sign that is literally a jug of water isn’t even considered a water sign and that’s straight-up bullshit

4. Height - 5′10″

5. Time - 10 pm

6. Birthday - Feb. 11

7. Favorite bands - queen, ween.... are there any others out there that rhyme with those? i also like bauhaus, siouxsie and the banshees, oingo-boingo... i think i mostly just got trapped in the 80s

8. Favorite solo artists - shirley bassey is a guilty pleasure. i don’t know a whole lot of musicians unfortunately

19. Followers - 119. it’s probably lower than most because i block/report bots as soon as i notice them and that affects your follower count (like, it was 150 a little bit ago but then i cleaned out some bot accounts last week)

20. Favorite color - mustard yellow, olive green, browns tbh.

21. Average hours of sleep - im lucky if i get up to 5-6. i’ve never been able to sleep well.

22. Piercings - just earlobes right now. for the longest time i couldn’t find any i wasn’t allergic to, and then i found out you can just coat them in clear nail polish and that’s usually enough to prevent a reaction and i’ve been going hog-wild with earrings since last year. i kind of want to get a cartilidge piercing but i also want a new tattoo more so lol what can you do

23. Instruments - used to play piano and viola but i couldn’t keep up with them. my mom got me a ukelele for xmas and i want to learn how to play it but i’m afraid of sucking (also i have no idea how to tune it)

24. What I’m wearing - black hoodie t-shirt and boxers. rule 4 of my apartment: NO PANTS

25. How many blankets do you sleep with - 1-3 depending on the season

26. Dream job- buddy at this point my dream job is one that pays enough for me to survive without leaving me feeling over worked (and also i only need to work the one job)

27. Dream trip - there’s a bone museum in oklahoma with a gift shop i have wanted to go to for years and have never gotten the chance and also i want to go to Grandpa’s Cheese Barn and Butt Drugs again to replenish my stocks

28. Favorite food - spaghetti!!! mochi!!! deep fried cheese sticks!!!
