If there is one thing that I’ve learned since beauty school, is that there’s not just one way of doing hair. There are so many different types of people out there in the world that it’s ridiculous to think that one “miracle method” works for everyone. Every guest, every client is unique and individual and it’s about creating a moment for them, not just a haircut or balayage. As designers, stylists, artists, whatever you wanna call yourselves, we need to step up and arm ourselves with all the tools we feel necessary. Broaden not only your horizons, but those of the people we get to create on. Embrace natural texture! Conquer your fear of cutting bangs! Let go of the notion that you have to be one particular type of hair stylist and be YOU. • • • This cut was a combination of Ouidad, French, and my Freeform shaping techniques to remove weight and enhance natural wave while preserving length Styled with @Ouidad Featherlight Cream, Finishing Mist, and Mongongo Oil and diffused. I prefer to diffuse roughly 90-95% of the way and let hair air dry the rest of the way.
