Where my muses with actual combat training (Asher, Gwen, Owen, Shepard - most the time) have the ability to plan ahead during a fight, Ryker mainly relies on instinct and luck to survive long enough to get an opening.
And where my trained muses will use the most effective methods to injure or kill an enemy, Ryker relies on brutality.

Additional Detailed HCs below.
EARLY LIFE
Syndra was never the favorite between herself & her brother, Sora. Her mother, Takashi, had always favored her brother. Syndra’s father, Daichi, was never truly around and when he was it was often best to leave him be in the solitude of his study. Leaving Syndra against unfavorable circumstance with Sora & Takashi, only finding rest when she was with her Master; Master Riku. Master Riku was a wise & gentle man who had taught Syndra to calm her emotions for these circumstances, often bringing her to the ghost-willow– a beautiful & peaceful grove that helped ease Syndra in times of distress.
Syndra was never the prettiest or most sociable child, certainly not a person you would believe to belong to such a long lineage that her family held. Her father’s roots ran deep in his large dynasty that his family had created within Ionia, his marriage to her mother more political than anything to increase the wealth & honor of his family line. Sora was the rightful air to such a dynasty due to being born male, and Syndra was often left in his shadow due to it. Sora was never a kind brother, but not many young boys were– often gathering his friends to bully the anti-social girl.
Takashi did her no favors growing up, often trying to shape Syndra into an image that she did not want to fit. She wished for Syndra to marry into another home that held a dynasty such as their own to expand their lineage within Ionia, trying to teach her how to be quiet, reserved, and a proper woman to house a family with the boy they had chosen her to be with– a friend of Sora’s. She had met the boy before, but hardly spoke to him. She knew only of him from the teasing she endured from Sora, himself, and their other friends within the village. Takashi often took a more severe punishment than what was necessary when Syndra refused her teachings, causing Syndra to grow fearful towards her mother’s scoldings.
Distraught and knowing Daichi was of no help to her with his constant absence, Syndra sought the wisdom of an old Master within the village. Master Riku, known for his patience, kindness, and warmth– there were not many in the village that did not look up to the man or sought him for his guidance. Master Riku saw this damaged child and took Syndra beneath his wing, teaching her how to control her rage, sadness, and fear. He often brought her to the ghost-willow, something that quickly became a safe place for Syndra in her youth where she could let go of her negative emotions and breath.
This place was soon taken from her, as one fateful day Syndra had been confronted by her brother Sora & his friends. She was taunted so within their home until the boy who she was betrothed to would step forward, making a point of how she was never to be pretty enough a woman to marry him & how his family was too good for such a pest as her. Unable to control her sorrow & anger at this statement, Syndra lashed out; slapping the boy across the face right in front of her mother’s ever watchful gaze. Scolded for her actions, and Sora only continuing to taunt her; Syndra knew only to run. She ran to the ghost-willow in shame & rage, looking to calm herself.
Yet, they followed.
Sora & company came in tow, following Syndra to the place that she once found safety. Invading what she had once thought they could not even step foot in. Distraught, she stumbled; smashing the back of her head upon the willow & breaking it’s branch. Magic began to flood from the ghost-willow & the land around it, and into Syndra. Slowly, the rage she felt was fueled into the magic that poured into her. She floated upwards, the three orbs manifested themselves & protectively did they launch themselves at the people that caused Syndra such anger, such fear. It was after this that the overwhelming power that flooded into her caused her eyes to shut, Syndra losing her consciousness.
When she awoke, it was in a strange place– one she had never been before. One Syndra would one day learn to call Fae’lor, her new home in which she would learn to use the magic that had seeped into her from the land itself. Young & naive, she awaited every day at the front gates of the temple for Daichi, Takashi, and Sora to walk through– and yet, they never came.
TATTOOS
Syndra has had tattoos since she first awoke many years ago from her stasis. Tattoos are used as a symbol given to criminals in some parts of Ionia, as well as some people getting them simply out of leisure or to commit themselves to a certain practice / god. They are given via a bamboo stick stuck through the skin, slowly seeping ink into the area. Syndra had designed her own, and used her magic to dull the slow and painful process of having them etched on her skin. She had always been a creative soul, and certainly, they were a memoir of important aspects of her life placed upon her skin to tell a story. Personal, they were designed after portraits she had painted before while relieving her stress from her past.
Part of the first ones that bore on her skin, in particular, the many roses & foliage that litter her arms, legs, shoulders, and neck– were due to her clouded thoughts in those darkened times. In The Celestial Fortress, Syndra hosted a garden and often painted within it. Her favorite, the roses, thorned as she was, were her favorites. At times, she spent hours on end simply painting her garden upon sheets & sheets of paper. They were cluttered, messy, and it expressed her thoughts & how deeply she had sunk in the mess that was her sanity. However, it also held the beauty she had the potential to be given growth– this is what the gardens upon her arms and legs represent.
She had gotten these first due to this, and due to the fact she wished to show Ionia she was a THREAT with the tattoos she had given herself. Tattoos were often seen as such in Ionia as they were often on those that were criminals, or were very powerful. Syndra wished to let Ionia know she was both.
The dragon was her second, one that she finds represents herself more than anything. Powerful, quick tempered, wise… Just three of many traits that Syndra shares with that of the mythical dragon. It wraps around her side and up her breast, it’s jaw unhinged and unleashing a mighty roar. Truly, this tattoo is representation of herself. This was gotten after first joining The Order.
Finally, the koi fish that peacefully between her shoulder blades and down her back. This was gotten after her confrontation at Dael’eh Ahira where she had freed Kalan, and offered herself back to the land. It was clear when the land refused her back into her stasis that Syndra had found some path of good, one that would help balance Ionia and bring it back to the way it once was– a nation undivided. She knew this, and that is why she decidedly had this tattooed upon her back as representation of this.
Edit: Notably, they also glow when she feels intense emotion or casts magic!

THE CELESTIAL FORTRESS
This is mostly a rewrite of old HCs, as not much has changed with this. When taking Fae'lor, she took the main piece of land and the surrounding area. Not the entire island, but the main part of it. This means it’s quite vast, especially the main temple itself in The Celestial Fortress. The largest building looking something like this:
As it had been a fortress that housed a large Noxian fleet prior to Syndra raising it, it comes as no surprise it was quite a bit of room. In the surrounding area of The Celestial Fortress possesses wildlife that was once dead but has since been brought back to life due to Syndra’s shift in power, and no longer being occupied by Noxians.
She has grown a vast garden around the temple, as well as repaved it with walkways to venture around the large estate. It also possesses a hot spring for bathing, which lay under a large gem Syndra has fed magic into for years to keep The Celestial Fortress afloat without her being there– allowing it to heat the hot spring beneath it.
The majority of free space within the castle walls is either empty, decorated, or filled with Syndra’s artifacts & libraries. It is, in fact, a very large piece of land for one person to live on. It comes as no surprise that a bit of it is simply empty space, used to gather dust, for wildlife to nest, or for Wink (Syndra’s dog) to run around in.
MENTAL STATE
Syndra is still very much damaged from her early life and the traumatic events that unraveled for her, but she is healing. She is a very cold, distant woman but possesses warmth deep, deep down. She knows what is right, she is wise, and when she feels she feels very deeply– but she can be cruel and not understand when she is. She still has an ongoing battle with the ramifications on her mental state that past events had caused, especially repeatedly reliving the memory of what happened at the ghost-willow for decades.
She lives still in seclusion and does not enjoy socializing, often using a cold demeanor to ignore those who try approaching. She is extremely introverted / shy to social situations as a defense measure to keep herself from being hurt again or abused, which caused more lasting effects than just on how she interacts with others. Syndra battles often with recollections of past events through triggers, night terrors that effect her sleep, and depression caused from years of isolation / what had happened so long ago. She may be healing now, as opposed to outright vicious when she was as Dark Sovereign; but make no mistake– she is still very much damaged from what had happened.
It will take a long time for Syndra to get past what has happened completely, but she has grown quite a bit. If one were to ask her outright of events of her past, or to confront her with people from it; she would undoubtedly lose a bit of control and lash out. At one point, if one were to bring it up, she would have outright killed them; but she has worked on that. These matters must be handled delicately, as anyone should be handled when they’ve been hurt.
The fact that Syndra was so incredibly angry and filled with such hatred when the magic seeped into her had a great effect on her mental state, and at times, it is hard to control. For a long time, it held her sanity captive and made her irrational which is why she attacked her twin brother, and the people of Fae’lar (twice). It is why she was in such a dark place for so long, and needed a gentle touch to be brought back to reality.
Syndra is not perfect, but she is working on it and is much better than the monster she once was– and it shows.
General things to go over is that this is simply a space where I can shove all of the things I want to and organize them amidst the chaos. I am host of a Traumagenic system and we aren't very open about it, so while questions are fine, we may choose not to answer some of them, and will not be posting a system list here, nor discussing system discourse here. You don't like how I do things, that's fine. Fuck off and do them yourself how you want to.
