Oh yeah or like when DC revamped Kate Kane (batman's cousin) and made her a Jewish lesbian, people on here decided that meant Bruce Wayne is also Jewish (not necessarily true, but very plausible) and therefore fanart showing Batman celebrating Christmas was antisemitic.
Meanwhile in reality, exogamy has been been common in the US for decades and I know plenty of people who celebrate both Hanukah and Christmas b/c both are family tradition and holidays are fun. (And they aren't Messianic Jews, I only heard about that from Tumblr and haven't met any in real life)
You're trying to tag a user on one of your fics when you discover the tag doesn't work.
Your first thought may be they changed their URL, or maybe they deactivated their account.
There's a third (not so) secret possibility:
I think the reason I keep wanting to respond to that critique of Princess Zeisan (because I don’t particularly care about TTRPGs or ATLA spinoffs), is that my interlocutors seem to be working under the assumption that genocide and ethnic bigotry imply total segregation and lack of interaction, when in the real world it’s usually the opposite.
Like, I brought up the 30 Years War in my response -- and granted the 30 years war is super complicated and also very much about, like, dynastic struggles between the Hapsburgs and Bourbons-- but mostly the hot spots of the war weren’t the places that were totally Catholic (e.g. Spain) or totally Protestant (e.g. Sweden), it was the areas with Catholics and Protestants mixed together (e.g. the central HRE), or where the rulers were flip-flopping between the two thanks to cuius regio and such (Bohemia, and lots of sub-principalities of the HRE).
I just watched To Kill A Mockingbird recently -- a depiction of extreme racial violence and prejudice in a deeply segregated society. So deeply segregated....that the white protagonists have a black woman employed in their home, and the victims at the heart of the legal drama (Tom Robinson and Mayella Ewles) were neighbors who saw each other every day.
And, like, I don’t mean that there wasn’t segregation, hatred, misconceptions and ignorance in these cases. Just that, they probably still interacted with their neighbors, like how the Ewles in TKAM spew horrifying slurs and threats at the African American community of Maycombe but Mayella still asked Tom Robinson to do chores for her. I’m sure lots of Fire Nation people bought into Sozin’s propaganda or otherwise hated Air Nomad people (though we know there were exceptions like Aang’s friend Kuzon) but they probably kept trading with the Western Air Temple or whatever until the genocide.
And you know who is most able to cross those boundaries and learn about “the other side”? People with a lot of social power. Like, say nobility! A modern example: the average American knows very little about North Korea, but Dennis Rhodman’s sports stardom allowing him to visit NK and befriend Kim Jong-Un. A slight less modern example: ex-King Edward VIII’s friendliness with the Nazis throughout WWII.
A princess at odds with her family turning to an outside religion makes a ton of sense. Especially with the wikipage saying that Zeitan allied not with the Air Nomad establishment, but with a breakaway anti-establishment sect. Rebels allying with rebels, basically: you want to cut the power of your nobility? Hey, so do I.

Inspired by the child!MC reaction lists I’ve seen, Luz is the human summoned to the Devildom. This happens the school year before Luz ends up in the Bouling isles. Suffice to say, it has been a while since Luz was in the realm her mother thought she was.
For bonus points, King actually is the King of Demons... y’know, Diavolo’s father. (there is definitely a story there)

Yoda: Clouded, the Force is. Bullshit our way out, we shall.
Shenanigans ensue (vaguely inspired by the film Push), in which to avoid complete disaster, since there isn’t a clear path in the Force, Jedi start doing the most ridiculous things they can think of to disrupt the unknown Sith Lord’s plans. If their mysterious enemy is counting on them behaving rationally to win this chess game, the Jedi are going to just throw out the pieces.
This has the added side-effect to improve the results of the war, since they no longer rely on the (rigged, as we know) intelligence they get, and reduce casualties, to everyone’s surprise.
