Well shit.

At least it wasn’t a giant, right? Possibly less likely wanting to fight. The demon spawn had been camping in the tree’s waiting for what he sought to pass by the Goliath was an unexpected occurrence. 

Not a threat? Hopefully, that tune holds when he sees what spoke to him. Raserei didn’t want to meet that maul in battle. 

It lies, rip its eyes out send it screaming. It will kill you. 

The low hum of his blood rose up, whispering to him, trying to distract him once again. Perhaps this stranger was what he needed; a distraction from his blood and it’s insidious whispers. 

“You say that before you even see me, I wonder if your opinion would change if you knew what you spoke too.” His deep voice rolled out into the air. 

Once he was told it was like the ocean rolling back out to sea. A bard told him that he thought it just sounded like a voice nothing more. 

A clawed hand readied on his ranseur.

“Forgive me for not openly showing myself, but my voice should give you some idea.”

He didn’t want to lose his advantage of being above, not below.

Kira looks up to the creature, a bit doe eyed, caught red handed digging through her pouch of belongings. Which she pulls away from his sight to her opposing side. Away from his prying eyes.

"Wouldn't you like to know? Perhaps it's a handful of salt waiting for you if you don't take a step back. Maybe it's another garlic clove that I will embarrass you with!"

Truthfully it was none of those things. Though she did carry a bit of salt for the road, it wasn't what she was holding in her hand.

When she realizes he's a bit too curious to just drop it, she rolls her eyes and sighs with a huff.

"... Nothing of note," She grumbles, holding out her journal. Some small leather bound book that she opens and flips through a few pages for him to see. Inside are detailed drawings, descriptions, and notes of uses of various herbs, plants, metals, and elements.

An apothecary journal.

"I don't think it'd interest you. Just paper and scribblings of the things I find and bring home. You likely already know all these things."
