No info on it yet until the preview July 3rd, but I’m hyped.
The game art works as sprites, but I have no idea how they’ll stylize it to animate it. Or, like, the story. Its story concluded very well by main game, but both Another Day and A New Day and even KH3 leave me with plenty of TWEWY questions and theories.
I wonder if the anime would show more of the New Day Girl Neku envisions? Shinjuku? Riku from KH?
The art of Coco’s sprite from AND is a subtly different style than everyone else, which, no wonder, since it’s always very hard to recreate an artstyle you used ten years ago, but it looks like the subtle change in her design to others would lend for a more animatable style, I think.
Big question is if Square SHOULD make this anime or not, too. Nomura’s states his story concluded for the game when he made it, and only thought more on it by high demand from (western) fans. So if it’s a attention grab or an advertisement without heart and quality, I’ll be livid, but that would be SUCH a SE thing to do. For as much as I insult Nomura, he has stated he would only work on TWEWY’s story again if he believe he could deliver quality that would live up to the original content and expectations.
That being said, I don’t even know who IS working on the story! Aaaaah! July 3rd when?!
