i got up at 8:30, had coffee/breakfast, then started on my chore. on sundays we have ‘general inspection’ aka a more thorough house-cleaning. typically, our chores have to be done by 10am, so i assumed the same was also true for sundays (plus it’s easier to vaccuum, clean, move furniture, etc. when people aren’t in and out of the living area).
so i’m in the middle of cleaning and one person comes thru and says “oh it’s GI day, so you have to do extra. we don’t normally do that until later)”. then the house manager comes thru and was like “look at you up and early doing your chore!” (seemingly impressed) but then 5min later was like “did you dust x, y, and z and do this?”
...no, not yet, but i’m up and getting it done earlier than everyone else, no one actually told me what i needed to do (dusting x, y & z, wasn’t on the list describing the chores) and apparently i have all day?
meanwhile i can’t get my meds (for the first two weeks, the ‘house manager’ holds onto them) because she’s downstairs [doing nothing] and seems too lazy to let me into her room to get them
meh, just low-key annoyed. i have an IOP intake tomorrow and start work tuesday so i guess i can stick it out another week here but again, still feeling doubtful i need to. am i being judgey/privileged/stupid?
