Forgive me mod, this isn’t drama!

I have a spare Toyhouse account for every character my 5 year old creates. She has such a big imagination and loves to draw and color things. I’m a bit biased, but she’s made some really awesome character designs! She’s very creative with her stories too. She tells me all about her characters. When I lay down in bed, I put everything she told me about the character in their bio (as coherently as I’m able). She absolutely loves this and she’ll have me scroll the page of characters for her and tell me which ones know each other (she’s recently started telling me about all their relationships and was thrilled to learn of the “links” feature.)

I’m so proud of her. She’s honestly starting to build out whole worlds of characters in her mind, and she’s incredibly passionate about them. Through doing this, creations she’d have just forgotten really inspire her imagination and get her to keep creating. I hope her characters can grow with her and she’ll be happy to have an archive of them all one day.

I just bought a character for $300 ($430 in my currency) and OUGHHHHH DOES MY WALLET HURT but I am SO FUCKING HAPPY !!!!! I've been eyeing it for years as it got traded around between people and now it's forever homed with me. >:)

I'm just scared that it'll be suspicious that they have been with me for three days and already have a fully coded profile, backstory, two pieces of art (and one commissioned piece) already with me. I just thought of a lot of this stuff over the years as a "what if" thing, and was drawing them as soon as the trade was confirmed. I didn't expect the artist to blast out that chibi in less than a day lol. I love them so much.

Being nonbinary doesn't have to be a "middle point" for your transition, like some memes may say. If that is where your journey ends then there's nothing wrong with that. Don't let other pressure you into an identity that you are not.

That being said, if you do end up realizing that you are binary trans, or some other flavor of nonbinary, that's OK too, your journey is your journey.

Everyone's journey is different. Some get to where they need right away, some try a lot of things before landing what fits. No matter your journey, be respectful of the journey others go through as well.

Regardless of what happens on Tuesday. Things will be good again. 

And it’s okay to focus on carving out a little bit of good in your own little bubble of the universe. The world has felt all year long like it is ending. It’s really felt that way. But I hope you’ve managed to carve out a little bit of good. 

Playing Among Us with your friends. Learning to bake bread and laughing off the abysmal failures of those first few tries. Jokingly leaving zoom calls after a friend makes a terrible joke, only to jump back in laughing a moment later. The bike rides and walks and trying new recipes just to mix it up. Recording TikToks and writing fanfiction and making art. Whatever you’ve been able to do to carve out a little bit of joy this year, know and trust that more will come.

The world may be on fire, but you cannot help put it out if you don’t stop to drink some water from time to time.

Things will be good again. There are good people trying to do good things. That is true now. That will be true after Tuesday. Keep carving out little bits of joy where you can. Sometimes that’s all you can do, and that’s not for nothing.
