August 5th, 1777. The air was abnormally humid, the heat being down even the strongest of soldiers, both on the Rebel and Loyalist side. The air, despite its unnatural warmth was rather cool by the end of the night, and it was a relief for everyone involved, including Felicity Hamilton, the younger sister of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Hamilton, an independent woman in her own right, and a spy. Men may have wore uniforms and long pants, but at the very least they did not have corsets that squeezed their insides. This has caused a very irritable feeling to resonate within her, given that she was wearing the corset, a dark, simple dress, and a light cloak which protected her against the sun. She let out a heavy sigh to herself. Felicity along with her elder brother and a few other soldiers were gathered in a nearby tavern some direction away from General Washington’s camp. They were all waiting on the French Ambassador, who had been the one coordinating with Washington on the intelligence from France to America. Felicity knew the ambassador well as she was the one that worked with him. Alexander was there as he was one of George Washington’s men, and the rest of the soldiers were there as escorts for safety, lest they get attacked.
“How much longer do we have to bloody wait?” Alexander Hamilton grumbled under his breath, his eyes skimming around the room, pacing around slightly, restless as the male was. Felicity eyed him with amusement, arching an eyebrow, drumming her fingers on the table as she was seated. Her brother was known for his impatience, and she was the same way. However, she also was very cam and collected, and she knew that it was important for them to meet. Such things took time.
“Did no one teach you that patience is a virtue, brother? Sit down, you’re not going to make this faster.” She commented, folding her hands on her lap together. She knew she was very blunt, but she has always been this way. She supposed some of it had to do with trauma, a defense she had over her own thoughts and emotions. Felicity kept silent, but she too was getting anxious. Where was the ambassador? He should have been here by now. Felicity had no idea that instead of the ambassador, they would met with someone else, a certain soldier and nobleman. They had no idea. Hearing footsteps approach the tavern, Felicity stood up from her seat, peeling off the hood of her cloak, letting her dark chocolate curls fall down her back, as she awaited the entry of the stranger.
@general-lafayette Can you guess who I am?
Never one to pass up a well posed challenge, the brunette tilts her head in consideration. Circling the man once, a devious smile perches upon her lips. “You are far too gentle and extravagant to be one of the Four Horsemen,” she concedes. Taking her time and dragging her eyes along his handsome features. “And I do not think that you are the masked banditti known as Robin Hood ... “
“How am I doing so far?” She presses with an earnest curiosity.

The ride back to the camp was not terrible long, but with the humidity, it was rather difficult and draining. Felicity was itching to get back to the campsite, check in on any of the wounded soldiers, reporting the statistics of the dead and wounded back to Washington directly. She sighed as she adjusted her seat on the horse, shifting to be more comfortable, which was highly difficult because of the clothes that she was wearing. Her eyes were locked ahead on the road before them. it was hard to see because of how dark everything was, but her sharp vision was able to detect some movement and activity in the camp at night. Soldiers were patrolling the area during the night shift, some were even gathered around a fire they had going, sharing the rations of food they had and speaking. The moment Felicity slipped off her horse, she departed from the group, but not before she glanced back at Lafayette, who seemed to have set his eye on her also. She flashed him a smile from the dark. A soft chuckle escaping her lips as she turned and walked towards her destination. For the last hour, she had tended to a few of the wounded soldiers, and she made the report for Washington about the amount of the dead and wounded. Stepping out of the tent, she was met with her elder brother, who was in a hurry to speak with the General himself regarding some of the battle plans, being his aide de camp.
“I heard that the Marquis is stationed near your very own tent,” He whispered with a conspiratorial smile. Felicity could only assume that this was Washington’s doing, but she thought nothing of it, as she bid Alexander a good night, striding into her own tent, not noticing anything around her. A sigh escaped her lips, and she pulled off the hood of her cloak down, pulling out her hair. She moved towards a wooden bowl that was filled with water, which she had filled up with a pitcher a few hours before and she knelt down to rinse her hands, unaware that there was a presence entering the tent.
