"Gen Z hates millenials so much it's honestly-"
NOT MEEEE GUYSSSS
PLEASEEEE
I hate the generation wars so much
Don't pretend you don't get skibidi toilet.
It's the continuation of millennial absurdist internet humor. Absurd memes for absurd times. Maybe you don't get the specific joke or don't find it funny. But you know the spirit it grew from all too well.
I'm really bad with mental concepts of age so maybe I'm not the best person to take this from but. Millennials are young. The oldest of you lot is like what, 45? Bro that's still pretty young, and don't even get me started on the literal 30 year old Millennials. Like idk I don't get the whole Gen Z thing of "Millennials are old!" because like first of all. No not really. But even when Millennials are in their 50s, 60s, and older, it's not going to be a bad thing. It'll come with its ups and downs, just like anyone getting older will.
Anyway this was all a rant spurred on by generation wars which are literally so stupid lmao
my new gen z coworker didn't know what Buffy the Vampire Slayer was but he did know Maze Runner so it's not all hopeless.
I can’t believe it
Gen Z was out there protesting, going feral, telling Boomers “okay”
So the Boomers were like ‘Hey, you know the Millenials? You know that generation we destroyed with emotional manipulation and financial abuse? You know all that nostalgia they got from their childhoods for those tv shows and comfort characters that remind them of more innocent times when they didn’t have crushing anxiety about a world and a life spinning out of their control?
...
Let’s recreate all that shit and get this new generation of rebel youths addicted to that same stuff. That’ll fix ‘em.”
And you fuckers are falling for it.
Birth-year categorisation simplifies the complex work of trying to understand ourselves and others around us, says writer Kitty Drake
“Her tastes, like her emotional problems, are oddly specific.”
Well look at the Guardian calling me out this fine June morning.
