Okay so I want to share this with y'all because I think it's really cute... I moved right when Pokémon GO came out, and now I'm a couple few hundred miles away from all my friends. I noticed a good chunk of everyone I knew was playing and the same sized chunk of people I knew were making fun of it, my boyfriend included. I hadn't started playing because of this, and I like things to update a couple times before I get it in hopes of having a better run than the bad reviews (works well actually). The other day though talking to @the-automaton-assassinn made me curious enough to download and start playing it....in secret. While the boyfriend and I were driving around he noticed the inconspicuous map view that the game mostly plays from. He asked if I was following on Google maps (I do this often on road trips, but we were just going through town) and I hesitate...."uhmmm...n-nooo..." "Oh. Oh shit." He caught on immediately. Later that day he was going up and down the stairs constantly checking on the brisket he was smoking and asked for me to help him the next time he went down. We get to the kitchen and he pulls me close, holds up his phone...and asks how to throw a pokéball at a starter. I almost fucking cried right there. Purely because I was playing, he decided to start too and is almost better than me 😉 almost (I just got the level 9 and he's hot on my heels half way through level 8 after starting a day later) AND, not to mention, he's having a blast, asking if I want to go on walks, and "where should we set up for a half hour with that lure", "I really fucking want that cat*!", "where IS that guy**??" Considering the age gap I didn't know what to expect..but I also wasn't sure how much fun I'd be having alone and especially with him. Idk TL;DR my boyfriend was a poké-hater before I started playing and now he gets jealous over the Pokémon I have that he doesn't. Also, all skeptics haven't started playing and wouldn't be making so many jokes if they had. *meowth (keeps hanging around but not appearing) **Pikachu (doing the SAME DAMN THING
