She was the worst part of the show, same episode but different font, poorly written, somehow made the dynamic boring.

💔: NOTP from Generator Rex? Going by what canon gave us, my least favourite is Circe X Rex. Circe has the big issues in that she's not allowed to be a character outside of Rex. Everything about her exists to move Rex has a character and the plot revolving around Rex. What's her nature with the pack? Doesn't matter because she's only there to tempt Rex and hesitate with the pack. What's her dynamic with the Hong Kong Gang? Doesn't matter because it's only there to make Rex jealous when she's hanging out with Skwydd. Why is she allowing Van Kleiss to abuse her and clearly use her as bait? Doesn't matter because she has to be there to provide conflict between Rex and Van Kleiss. Even the choice of her leaving the pack isn't about her or what Van Kleiss did to her, it's about what he did to Rex. Meanwhile on Rex's end, we're constantly spoon feed this idea that he loves her because they're both the same and she's "not like other girls", but we're never given anything that proves this. The first time they met, he ran into her at the beach, and suddenly acted like they were soulmates before he knew anything about her. Them being the same is surface level, as at most they're both humanoid evos that appear normal until they use their powers, and are outcasts even in their own groups, and even then they're still different qualities. It also adds this question as to why Rex cares about her and none of the other pack members, in that if he assumes she's not happy and in an uncomfortable situation, why doesn't he ever presume the same for the others? Sure he gets there with Breach, but that happens after certain points, and he never wonders if maybe there is something up with Skalamander or Biowolf. The series unfortunately give this idea that because Circe is "pretty" and "the most normal looking" that must mean she's different and have valid reasons in Rex's eyes. And that isn't me saying that Circe doesn't deserve help, but it creates this awkward pedestal effect on her as a character when she hasn't done much to earn it, instead coming across as Rex only wanting to help her because of hormones. And again, we're given very little reason as to why Rex thinks she's this amazing. She's constantly hurt him and others, or aided the villains in doing so. She's not really called out for it, more so just Rex and others being like "You can be better than this". Which is unfortunate because I can see a timeline where all of this makes Circe and interesting character, one who is fully suffering at the hands of Van Kleiss but feels like she can't leave because she feels like she has a true connection with the pack, that the rest of the world is unsafe, and has her own reasons for believing what Van Kleiss is telling her. But the series doesn't explore these ideas. You're just told to not ask questions and accept they're meant to be. Assault On Abyssus is the only episode I fully felt like I got a proper insight on who her character was meant to be, including her personal views on the pack without the need of Rex shaping those views. And even then it wasn't as much as it could have been. It's one of those ships that, when they're together on screen/having an episode together, it worsens both characters. That they're much more interesting when it's not revolving around each other.
