@kryetar asked: ' i believe they call this interrogating. '
“Do they?” That doesn’t help. He shrugs, as if something like that had never crossed his mind and never would. Nothing to see her, despite his default setting being intimidating. Which he also hasn’t taken any steps to fix. “Ever seen one?” He grins, a little unsettling. That still doesn’t dispell any illusions about the interrogation-ness of this encounter. “Believe me, if this was an interrogation, you’d be uncomfortably aware.” For all that Sebastian doesn’t go around telling his strangers his occupation, it’s moments like these that easily could be mistaken for a confession. That said, Ira’s not really a stranger. He’s Severin’s friend after all. They’ve met before. That’s something.
He relaxes his posture slightly - not that he’s ever going to achieve the way Severin slouches - but it’s an attempt at a lowering of the tension. Whether it’s well meant or not is up to Ira to decide. “No, I’m just asking. No weight to it, no wrong answers.” There’s definitely a wrong answer to any question Sebastian asks, but that’s always to be seen. It’s mostly when he’s angry that questions have pre thought out wrong answers. “I’d tell you to relax, but I’m not sure it’d go over well.” Even if he meant it, it’d probably come out sounding like he’s telling Ira to relax for a procedure that is in fact going to hurt a lot. “I would appreciate an answer in the next century, if possible, though.”
