It's true though. People can be so mean, and just one insensitive comment can overshadow 3 nice ones, so I know you'll have trouble believing people that compliment you. I've been working as a cashier for two weeks and I get lots of decent customers who are polite and grateful for my service, but the only ones I remember are those who made me feel like an idiot or made me sad (two even brought me to tears!) But you ARE pretty and the only ones who say otherwise are jealous and bitter.
