➝ quiet - hyunbin talks the least in the group. because of her quietness, people can incorrectly assume that she is cold and aloof which is not the case. a lot of fans think she is being treated unfairly by not being able to speak, but she said in a vlive that she is so quiet because if she doesn’t have to speak, she won’t. although she is quiet, she possesses a lot of creative imagination.

➝ blunt - she’s that one friend who tells it like it is. in a lot of her soundcloud songs, she lets people know exactly how she feels about them. there’s a running joke that hyunbin is banned from talking because she hurts people’s feelings. she openly admitted that at first, she didn’t want to debut in a group because she preferred doing things by herself.

➝ intelligent - she’s incredibly smart and produces almost every single genesis song out there. she spends most of her working time in the studio, thinking of concepts and ideas for the comebacks. fun fact: hyunbin actually came up with the ‘elysium’ series by herself! talented queen i think.

➝ foul-mouthed - when she does speak, not much of what she says is clean. she swears, like a lot. another running joke is that she’s banned from talking because she can’t go two seconds without cussing someone out. it started when she made a soundcloud account to vent about her mental health, in the form of rapping.

➝ shy - she has sociophobia and agoraphobia and will get mild panic attacks when faced with situations where she has to be around lots of people. this does have a negative impact on hyunbin’s life, and as an idol, concerts and fansigns have been especially difficult. she was diagnosed at the age of five. however, she takes prescribed medicines and talks to a therapist to make her feel a bit better.  

➝ sarcastic - she takes the runner-up for ‘funniest member’ alongside roseha. this girl has a sarcastic quip for every situation, and frequently looks into the camera like she’s on ‘the office’. there are many compilations on youtube titled ‘hyunbin being done with genesis for 9 minutes’ and ‘i’m glad we all agree hyunbin is the funniest member’.

she uses both she/her and they/them pronouns.

she shares a dorm with hwamin, and her closet gets quite full at times.

hyunbin doesn’t have a stage name, but similar to bts’ agust d or 3racha, she uses the alias ‘hush’ when rapping. she personally prefers to have the fans call her by her real name, but at the end of the day she doesn’t actually mind.

she can play the piano but she doesn’t pursue it professionally and only does it as a hobby. 

hyunbin’s main hobby is surfing. when her schedule isn’t insanely crammed, she’ll spend her ‘me time’ going out to surf.

she has two dogs; a one-year-old golden retriever called areum and an eight-month-old shiba inu called elkie. she absolutely l o v e s them to death and 99% of her camera roll is just blurry photos of them. (can’t blame her tbh)
