On July 27 KST, the girl group dropped individual teaser images for their second single albumΒ βamareβ. In the concept teasers, the members are adorning beautiful dresses and facing the camera. The images augment softΒ βGreek mythologyβ mood of the albumβs concept.
Meanwhile,Β βamareβ is set for release on August 3.
amare is the second single album by south korean girl group GENESIS. the album was released digitally and physically on august 3rd, 2017 by starship entertainment. the single album contains seven tracks: βrequiemβ, βcapriceβ,Β βballadeβ, βfantasiaβ, βsonatineβ, βariaβΒ and the lead single, βisadoraβ.

01. requiem - a sad and emotional song about one-sided love, and the singer is mourning the βlossβ of their loved one (they now love somebody else). this song was praised because of its powerful vocals provided by perry and amelie.
02. isadora (title track) - this song is about the feeling of time fleeting by too fast, and the singer wishes they had more time to tell βisadoraβ how they feel about her. roseha and amelie were the centres in the chorus. perry had help in producing this song.
03. caprice - a light, bouncy song (mostly in english) about having a puppy-dog crush on someone. hyeri did the backing vocals, guitar, and had the most lines in this song.
04. ballade - a song about someone who wishes they could go back to their ex-lover. despite the name, itβs not a ballad at all and itβs notably the most upbeat song in the album. hyunbin wrote this song and said it was partly based on a true story, intriguing the fans.
05. fantasia - a light, relaxing song about friends with benefits. hyunbin actually sang in this song and fans were pleasantly surprised. she said in a vlive that βwith an album titled amare, we wanted to flip that on its head and write a song that doesnβt involve romantic love at all. we hope the fans like it.β.
06. sonatine - a fairylike guitar-centric song with lots of vocals. itβs about the singer having a crush on someone and not daring to tell them, in case they wonβt feel the same way. this song was produced by hwamin.
07. aria - a dreamy, almost haunting track about enjoying midnight where it seems like everyone in the world is asleep except you. the only lyrics are βi see you, wherever you areβ and they are sung by roseha. it is a perfect way to finish off the album and it provides a sense of calmness.

the main concept of this album is greek mythology, so the girls were going for pastel colours and fancy ball gowns with lots of lace and tulle.
perry had black hair, hyeri had dark blonde hair, roseha had blonde hair, amelie had black hair, hyunbin had brown hair and hwamin had black hair.

the mv starts off from the end of the βthe renegadesβ music video where the girls go to an abandoned museum.

hyeriβs scenes were underwater while singing at the camera. she was wearing a black leotard underneath a sky blue sheer gown, and she was also barefoot. she had blue eye contacts.

hyunbinβs scenes were in a forest in the evening, and she was running through it while holding a bow and arrow. she had a silver dress that reached the ground and had glitter and holographic sequins at the bottom. she used one hand to hold her dress and the bow and arrow.Β
hwaminβs scenes were on a hill at night by a full moon. she wore a black low-cut long-sleeved dress with star and glitter embellishments, and she was barefoot.
