That’s a proud smile! Probably because he knows that despite having a useless horse archer (apparently an reoccurring thing in civ6) he still won against the aggressive Nubians. In the time Gengis Khan discovered humanism the armies of the Nubian empire patrolled the borders and searched for an unprotected city. So the Mongolians had to build encampements and thick walls instead of art museum and theater districts. But even though art was late in dominated!
Very cool game, was actually pretty calm after I built a ton of military and after 100 turns of having a negative gold income could built some commercial districts. Still, Nubia was very aggressive to all players and constantly having units at my borders, even after we got friendly. I always kept enough income to upgrade all my units ( just in case Nubia changes their mind).
The wiped out Russians left a good St.Petersburg for me, and France had an awesome religion, with triple tourism value and cathedrals, but Nubians was going for a religion victory so they quickly wiped out the religion of france before I could recruit enough apostles.
In this game everything was late, from the Cristo Redentor to the Broadway, I had to chop all my cities down to get the wonders.
Yeah and the diplomatic visibility bonus of Gengis is very useless, but hey, at least they have a cool color.
