"Sorry... I guess teleporting to other worlds is too complicated for me to do.." Thelonious sighed, closing a thick book and placed it on a stack of other heavy books.

There were many other stacks, all trying to find ways to bring Elaine back home.

"Um!!! You can still stay with us, right? Papa's house isn't that bad.." Mana tried to lighten the mood.

"If maybe that traveler brought Mr Albedo..." Thelonious mumbled to himself.

Instantly, Mana groaned and rolls her eyes. "You're SUCH a FANBOY."

"SHUT UP!!"

"YES YOU ARE! Elaine! There's this famous scientist in Mondstadt named Albedo. He's basically Nious crush."

"I DO NOT HAVE A CRUSH ON ANYONE, MANA. He can help us! And traveler's friends with Mr Albedo! We can just... ask..?"

Mana, who was clearly not amused, raised an eyebrow. "And then you fawn like a wild animal behind him?"

The older brother groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Zhongli sighed, his face creased to the center with scrunched up eyebrows, as Ei remained stoic, but turned almost souless.

"Yes... well, more of pouring it on me, thinking he was 'anointing' me," Zhongli grumbled, though still having his composure. You could tell, however, he was certainly angry with the bard.

"I'm not quite sure, Morax. It was quite funny," the Electro Arcon turned her head away from the older god, hiding the fact that she had an amused smirk on her face.

"Oh? Is that so, Ei?"

"Maybe."

"Well, I hope you're ready to join Barbatos at night to face the wrath of my rock-"

okay but imagine FIXING Xiao's smudged eyeliner

"let me help you." You chuckle, ushering him to the small stool after getting a kick out of watching him try to apply the red lines under his eyes.

Begrudgingly, he complies and, as you stand between his legs, lift his chin so his face is illuminated by the sunlight, he takes notice of you. Hes done it numerous times but watching you, feeling your hand underneath his neck and knowing you will always touch him with kindness makes his agitation ease.

Your so close, your lips slightly part as you focus and, carefully, you draw the brush underneath his eyes. The cold liquid makes him feel alive, and the heat from your proximity makes him feel safe.

"There, much better." You stand up straight and press your fists into your hips. With a nod, you walk away to return the makeup to it's proper place while he watches you intently.

You find that he asks you to help him again and again, and with each time, you get a bit closer.

Smudging Xiao's red eyeliner

Xiao tenses as you reach up toward his face, the air that moved freely seems trapped in his chest the closer you get.

Your hand is warm against him and he feels your thumb rub against his eye, he fidgets slightly.

"what are you doing?"

"Nothing ..." You walk away and leave him confused. Later, when he walks past the mirror he sees how his eyeliner is smudged and spread across his cheekbone. He sighs heavily and cleans the mess. At this point, he should know, but every time you touch him ... Everything else fades away.
