I’m currently taking GEO 101: Intro to Earth Processes and History, and one of my favorite parts of the class so far has been looking at a wide variety of rock samples to better identify them. One Sunday in October, we drove to the dinosaur footprints in Hadley, followed by a trek up Mt. Tom and Mt. Holyoke. It was a great opportunity to explore the Pioneer Valley in a way that I most likely wouldn’t have done otherwise. If you’re looking for a new subject to explore, I highly recommend looking into geosciences!
