Why did I think “wow Alaska is so close to me?”
In Germany when we went through Belgium (where our tour guide was from) she said that Belgium was the Texas of Germany because if you ask someone from Belgium where they’re from they will say Belgium instead of Germany, and the same is true with Texans. And us (who were from Texas) couldn’t be mad or offended because when she asked where we were from at the beginning of the tour we all said Texas.
