Batroc: Trying to take down Sam who has new vibranium wings and the shield.

“He’s in.”
There was somewhat of a scoff on the other side of the line, and the distant rumbling of an engine traveling down an asphalt road. “Still wearing the idiotic braun Kappe und Sonnenbrille?”
“Hey!” Steve protested, his hand coming up to touch the side of his own cap, feeling a little hurt at the jab at his trusted headpiece. “The disguise works. They won’t recognize him.”
“Because he looks like an idiot.”
Resisting the urge to huff offended in the other’s defense, Steve scrunched up his nose and squared his shoulders. After taking a quick look around for any danger, he shot back, “Yeah well you always look like an idiot.”
A chuckle spun up through the phone, something not at all offended, but rather amused. “Du bist so niedlich, Kapitän.”
“Stop saying that!” Steve bristled, “I don’t need to hear that from two sides!”
More laughter rose. “Yeah yeah. What is that saying again? Smart minds, same thoughts?”
“I swear, Zemo, if any of you calls me that again I will strangle you, you understand? My shield, your head. Be warned.”
Tilting his head once more, Steve leaned over back to gaze through the bushes at the house in the distance. He could just peer between the open curtains to see Batroc shrug his shoulders and raise his hands in question. He seemed mostly relaxed in his new situation, only sightly tensed of the adrenaline a mission brought, especially since he was not used to undercover work.
In all fairness, undercover work was more Zemo’s idea, but Batroc was the only one between them who could speak French and was not Captain America.
“Your shield against my sword, yes?”
“Just shut up and drive.”

Or: It is only by fate that Steve ends up having to work together with none other than Helmut Zemo and George Batroc, both fugitives of SHIELD who were never caught.
Though Steve knows Fury will have his head when SHIELD finds out, he can’t deny that there is a lot of potential in the trio of them, if they can all just work together. Between the three of them they speak over twenty languages, know about every combat style known to men, and all excel in the art of staying under the radar and going about unnoticed.
Even though Zemo keeps saying their hats and sunglasses look dumb.
It seems HYDRA had slighted not just the one of them, as the personal vendettas seem to go deep with the others as well. Steve does not mind working with them, he just hopes that if push comes to shove, he can trust them to guard his back.
Then things go wrong as Steve suddenly realizes it’s no longer just bullets that fly, but sparks as well.
