As I was travelling in and around Karaikudi in a car, I happen to watch dozens of people, mostly dressed in orange color sarees or dhoti and walking barefoot. As a photographer my instinct was to stop the driver. I realized men and women have been walking for two days and enduring to the temple of Samayapuram Mariamman in the nearby district of Tiruchirappalli. The temple attracts lots of devotees during the auspicious days. . 💡Tip - Never try to sneak in and take photographs. People know that you are there to click pictures.
