Herrenhausen Palace (Hanover, Germany).
The palace [1] was destroyed during an air raid in 1943, and was reconstructed in 2009 – 2013. It reopened in 2013 as the Herrenhausen Palace Museum.
The Herrenhausen Gardens [2] date back to the end of the 1600s, and are among the most important and best-preserved Baroque gardens in Europe.
The Wilhelm Busch Museum [3] has the world's largest collection of works by Busch, and also features contemporary art. It was founded in 1937 by the Wilhelm Busch Society, and although the building was destroyed in 1943, the art had already been evacuated. The museum reopened in another location in 1950, and today it is located in the Georgengarten.

Week 17: Artistic - Serenity @photochallenge2018
My intention was to capture the local turtle population in the park. What is more serene than a turtle, bathing inertly in the sun on a branch laying in the water? Indeed I was able to take some photos of those, but in the end I liked this spontaneous snapshot better. In good weather at the pond in the park, protected against the scorching sun by a canopy of leaves - I guess that’s “serenity”.
