What happens when you get a bunch of overworked comic artists together at a Brooklyn bar to pretend they're elves, dwarfs and wizards? You get our new blog, Dungeons, Dragons 'n Drinking! This is a blog where us members of the comic art studios Hypothetical Island and Drawbridge can keep you up to date with our exciting, alcohol-fueled, medieval adventures, which we will be illustrating as we play.
Starting the game off is: George O'Connor, known for his work on his Olympians series Ellen Lindner, of The Strumpet and The Black Feather Falls Robin Ha, the artist of Quilt Girl And myself, Reilly Brown, known for drawing comics like Cable & Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Power Play We're headed up by our esteemed DM, Stephen Betts, who has a killer English accent. I'm sure the lineup will change from time to time, and we'll most likely have a guest artist or two along the way as well. One of the most important parts of Dungeons, Dragons 'n Drinking is, in fact, the drinking. In our game, if your hit points get low, you can take a shot for a chance to roll the dice and gain some life back. The drawing above is my own character Killgore having a stiff drink after being set upon by a pack of hungry wolves in our first adventure, which he then proceeded to chop into bite-sized wolf-nuggets. I'll let the other guys introduce their own characters, so come back often to see how our adventures develop!
