Courtney McAllister and Rachel Hart. "Mine…" It can be a beautiful word, sad word or even creepy. Here it was sad. I loved the connection between Courtney and Rachel because there needed to be patience and understanding for the happy ending to happen. Rachel was really understanding, yes she had her issues (so does everybody) but she was truly patient. She had her moments of vulnerability but that's what made her character beautiful. I loved that one moment that she had with her "old-dude" friend the chef. Friends like that, most of us deserve one. Courtney, lady, you were phenomenal. A work of art. I tell you, the way Georgia wrote Courtney's fears, panics and anxiousness in the grief and recovering process… for a moment, I wish not to love if I am bound to lose that person. The scene that stuck with me the most was that one at the near end when it was Courtney's lost wife's (Rest Beautifully) death anniversary. The honesty shared between Courtney and Rachel in that scene, it was so real, fuck fiction, to me that moment mattered a lot because that is just the truth. Being honest about your true emotions is sometimes the best medicine. Self reflection: There are certain things that happen in life that I don't know yet how I would handle them. So I am always grateful when I read a book that actually gives me an insight because in a way, it teaches you a lesson that can help you or understand what a friend or a loved one is going thru. #lesbianfiction #georgiabeers #boldstrokebooks #lgbtbooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CQzNXUKNEoV/?utm_medium=tumblr
