Thinking about prehistoric life makes me really emotional I won’t lie to you like !! so many creatures on this planet have lived and died and we will only ever know a fraction of them, hell we only know a fraction of the organisms living on this planet TODAY, and yet it’s an entire field to study and learn about our past in whatever glimpses we can catch of it, and we care enough to look at them closely and compare them to what we know and draw them and write about them and marvel at them and. Gosh. How wonderful is that

Continuing with that nostalgic 8-bit GUI fun, largely thanks to some helpful soul on Reddit? I do now have mouse (really touchpad) passthrough working in there. And I now know what the Commodore key is even mapped to!

Does this mean that I have figured out how to launch what little there currently is using the icons yet? Nope! Single click selects, a double click doesn't work, and neither does hitting enter with it selected.

But, here's a short demonstration that the mouse DOES sorta work, and what the main menu options are. It's progress.

And now I'm tired enough of fooling with this that I'm about to escape into Green Hell for a while.
