"40 years ago today, April 21, 1986, Geraldo Rivera hosted the live opening of Al Capone’s supposed secret underground vault in the syndicated special The Mystery of Al Capone's Vaults.
The highly promoted two hour broadcast built anticipation around the possibility of uncovering hidden riches or long lost secrets from the Prohibition era crime boss. Instead, the vault was found to be nearly empty, with only debris and a single old bottle discovered.
Despite the anticlimactic result, the special became a massive television event, drawing one of the largest audiences in syndicated TV history and standing as a memorable example of hype driven live broadcasting."

My dad was genuinely pissed that we watched this live for... a bottle and dirt.
For an 80 year-old man, it is extraordinary how energetic the president is. When does he sleep? Compared to most octogenarians he is the energizer bunny. You might not like what he’s doing or where he’s going, but he’s running laps around his critics.
They continue in their attempts to tell us we don't see what our lying eyes see. WTF????!!!! What "energy"
He sleeps during cabinet meetings. Do you live under a rock?
CNN's Trump-loving pundit exploded after an increasingly tense back-and-forth with progressive commentator Adam Mockler.
Lee Moran at HuffPost:
CNN’s die-hard, Donald Trump-loving commentator Scott Jennings was mocked on Thursday for his wild, F-bomb overreaction to being challenged over his defense of the president’s war on Iran.
Jennings told Adam Mockler, a commentator for the progressive MeidasTouch Network, to “get your fucking hand out of my face” — despite Mockler’s hand being nowhere near — during a heated exchange on “NewsNight.”
Jennings appeared to be initially triggered by Mockler’s comment about his defense of “prior endless wars” when he served in the administration of former President George W. Bush.
“Eight weeks is endless to you?” Jennings fired back at Mockler. Mockler pointed out that the Iran conflict has now dragged on for much longer than what Trump and his MAGA allies first insisted it would. Jennings suggested Mockler had “the attention span of a nat.” Mockler then pushed Jennings to name “one political concession” that Iran has given the U.S. amid talks.
Mockler raised his hand slightly to make his point and Jennings flipped out, telling him: “Get your fucking hand out of my face, first of all.”
Anchor Abby Phillip chimed in: “Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Woah, woah, woah. Guys, excuse me.”
Jennings said: “I’m not going to have this guy’s hand in my face.”
Phillip urged calm: “Everybody, everybody hang tight, OK?”
She then added: “No, everybody, calm down. OK? We’re having a debate. You can respond to the points that he’s making.
From the 04.30.2026 edition of CNN's NewsNight With Abby Phillip:
CNN contributor Scott Jennings continues to act like a smarmy prick on national TV, and on last night’s edition of CNN’s NewsNight, he snapped at guest Adam Mockler.
