Carlos got an award from the Murcian newspaper La Verdad, given to Murcians who have had the most noteworthy/brilliant/impactful trajectory that year. And Gerebito was there to give him the award lol. Below you have the video of that moment and a translation of what they said

Gerebito: First of all, I want to thank Carlos because he has a very busy schedule this preseason, which is sometimes even tougher than the season itself. It's a very exciting year, surely the best year of your career, and hopefully not the best of your career when your entire trajectory is over. And I want to ask you, Carlos, for a moment — something that will stay with you from 2025, a lesson, something you've learned that will serve you well for next year and the years to come.

Carlos: Well, good evening, first of all, thank you very much for the recognition. It is a great honor for me to receive awards from your country, from your region. And well, to answer the question, I think it is the best year, without a doubt, in terms of titles, in terms of achievements, in terms of everything.

But I think there's one thing that really stands out for me this year, which perhaps people don't normally remember, and the year can be very long. I think that at the beginning of the year, I didn't have the start I would have liked. I really hit rock bottom with a tournament that didn't go well, or rather a series of tournaments that didn't go well. And the truth is that that's when I reflected and realized what's really important, which is that beyond playing tennis, beyond competing wherever I go, I really have to enjoy my family, I have to enjoy my people, and I have to enjoy playing tennis, which is what I did when I was little.

And then when I came out of that, I realized that that was the most important thing, everything else came after, all the titles, the Grand Slams, being number one. And I think what I'm taking away for next year is that lesson that what's really important is what you want to do and enjoying what you're doing.
