Fick alles. Ich kann nicht mehr atmen....

When liking something I genuinely thought this pride flag was the flag of Germany
I went to Germany for the first time as apart of an exchange program and saw these!! I never saw people just casually celebrating pride month (my home country is not nearly as accepting as it should be) so this was a great experience!! I even saw rainbow crosswalks!!
In the spirit of pride month, here
Have a ducky my sister painted after our parents didn't allow us to buy these
For over a decade now I've spent pride on tumblr only and it's always been quite nice (miraculously I must have created a dash that rarely ever carried a hint of acephobia)
Now I threw half a glance into german twitter pride and it's a 30/30/30 mix of criticism of capitalism (nice), actual pride (that's what I'm here for) and transphobia + various other stupid people (thanks, I hate you more than you hate me)
A Lil bit about the German pride
With pride month I wanted to start talking about the csd around the world. I have been to one pride yet in Stuttgart in Germany and I just wanted to share about it.
It is not as big as in America and if I have to guess its 40 % LGBT people and 60 % allys and just bystanders.
It's in the middle of the city, it has a wonderful parade going around the blocks and in the end some speeches from politicians and activist.
There were a few stands that sold stuff, mostly flags and buttons.
What I liked about the csd was that it didn't really feel like a party more like a parade
Like the saying = we are here, we are queer, get used to it.
That also why the bystanders and the allys were so important. They saw the LGBT community, they saw the diversity.
And in the end one of the speakers even said that allys are important, because they also will vote for the right LGBT politician, that the LGBT community is too small in itself for that and needs the allys.
Tha also one of the many reasons I will always defend allys on pride, because allys, true allys, are there to help.
But what are your experiences on pride or the csd?
Bonus points if your not from America
