Super cool catch! This A. gestroi just shed its front half and is solidifying. The difference between the teneral portion and the pre-shed portion is clear in size and color. Isopods shed one half at a time for safety, and their sheds are eaten quickly by the other colony members for nutrients, so this was a quite lucky find!
