BROKENWOOD FIC WEEK 2025

We (@wiggytiggy, myself and others) thought it would be fun to do a fic-writing challenge for our favorite mystery series, The Brokenwood Mysteries. (A little something to keep us going halfway between series/seasons!)

The dates to post works will be September 22-28.

We've called this a "fic week" but please use this week to celebrate Brokenwood in any way you would like, whether it’s writing fics, sharing meta/headcanons, making gifs, graphics, mixes or fanvids, creating fanart, etc.

How it will work:

Fics (and other works) should be new and based on the prompts (get creative - We'd love to see your quirky interpretations!)

There will be an AO3 Collection to post your fics if you so desire. Or you can post them directly to Tumblr (if they're longer, please remember to use a 'keep reading' cut)

Post your fics (and other works) on the day for the prompt you've used.

Please tag your posts with #brokenwoodficweek2025 in one of the first five tags so we can see it

the oldest movie theater in chicago (the new 400) is struggling and is probably going to close soon. and on one hand it’s incredibly sad, not only is it a historic landmark but it’s a wonderful charming little theatre, the sort of scrappy indie type of movie house you see less and less of, and prices are dirt cheap. on the other hand…they should show better movies
