hi hi and welcome! i've had an influx of followers and wanted to just introduce myself. this little corner of the internet has changed so much even in just the last few months. i'm thankful to those who are still here, miss those who have left, and want to welcome those of you that are new or coming out of the woodwork ♡

my name is dev and i am currently recovering from a major hip surgery. i'm going on eight months since the surgery and am doing everything i can to maintain my writing on here as i deal with everything that came along with such a big life event. i am, or was, a professional baker and am working my way back to that!

all of my fics are written in the x reader fashion though some of the characters sway more towards an ofc. warnings and tags are provided for each individually! i write primarily for the ppcu (pedro pascal cinematic universe) but also indulge in oscar isaac characters as well as the x-men universe

Get To Know Me Better & Here's What I've Been Doing

thank you so much @sin-djarin for the tag (and i think a few others over the past few weeks but i've been a bit fuzzy tbh) and here are my insanely all over the place answers and insight into my little life lol

Last song: fireflies by owl city

Fav colour: olive green or mustard yellow!

Last tv show: the pitt, baby!

Last movie: the meg 2 (it was on where i had lunch at sunday and they left it on for me and my friend lol)

Currently reading: oof okay, i DEVOUR books but also juggle them, so right now i'm reading heart strings by ivy faorbanks, such sharp teeth by rachel harrison, tender is the flesh by augustina baztericca, and good spirits by b.k borison. i've read about 15 books this year so far being in bed so much and it's rather nice to be able to move through my giant collection

Current obsession: cherry chia pouches and those cream cheese and chive cracker packs

Last google search: tracking for my popmart grogu figurine (immediately bought a second one after the first one arrived and i saw how stinkin' cute it was in person)

Salty or sweet: depends on what meds i just took, they impact my taste buds so much

Coffee or tea: soy vanilla latte, pretty please

Colour that appears most frequently in your wardrobe: black 100%

Colour of your fav blanket: it's a muted, soft taupe tbh, super soft fleece

Colour of your water bottle: i've got a dark green see through camelbak

i've had a recent influx of followers lately and i just wanted to say hi and welcome! thank you for being here and i hope you find something to enjoy in my masterlist, my random ramblings, or cross fandom posting lol

little general info:

name's dev (or you can call me pen for my username, either works)

i'm in my 30's and v much a bi girlie and a poc

i don't have professional training but i've worked as a chef and baker for nearly 5 years, before that i was a bartender and server

currently finishing my last semester for my ba in cultural anthropology and religious linguistics

i'm currently undergoing radiation therapy for a stubborn spot of cancer in my hip joint and am 10 weeks post op for a surgery to remove most of it as well as repair a labral tear and impingement correction

i'm v open about things and willing to talk but please remember to be kind and respectful!

i mostly write for the ppcu but i do have a fics for other fandoms as well

so it's been awhile since i've actually organized a legit post on here, huh? it's been a hectic, exhausting, painful three weeks since my surgery, tbh. i'm just now able to sit up enough in bed to look somewhat normal lol, instead of swathed in a nest of pillows, blankets, and support wedges

i've gained quite a few followers and i just wanted to say hi and introduce myself a little:

name's dev! and thank y'all so much for being here (and still being here for those who i try to keep up with on a regular basis). i write mostly for the ppcu, but i do have a few fics for other fandoms over on my ao3 and have recently been thinking up some ideas for marvel and some other franchises. my blog and online spaces are strictly 18+ so mdni, please. this is for my safety and for your own. i am an open book, all you gotta do is ask!

i'm currently recovering from an intensive hip surgery that doubled as a removal of cancerous cysts in my joint. more info on that can be found -> here

i've got quite a few works under my belt and i see all the notifs floating in between rounds of pain pills, physical therapy, and trying to get my life back on track- and i appreciate every single one! those can be found -> here

i've managed to get my strength up enough to waddle around the kitchen and get back to do some of the baking and cooking i love so much, it's also helping me to feel a little more in control of my body since it feels rather foreign as i relearn how to walk
