Soloing bronze as a Geth trooper vs Geth in London. I was using my trusted black widow sniper rifle.
I tried silver for the first time immediately after this, and I lost connection on wave 7. My carrier’s fault. Not the game’s fault.
I got ME3 in January, so ... that’s why I’m still working on my solos.
Okay, so I play a LOT of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode and whenever I finish a match, people keep asking what my build is. I'd figure that if Tumblr has any Mass Effect fanbase, they'd benefit from it, so here goes:
Start with a
Geth Trooper
and spec with the following things:
Hunter Mode: spec for damage and range
Flamer: damage and duration
spec the passives for weapon damage and durability
Javelin: add Piercing Mod V and High Velocity Barrel V
N7 Hurricane: Thermal Clip Expansion(?) V and Extended Barrel V
Equipment: Vulnerability V.I. V, Sniper Rifle Rail Amp V, Cyclonic Modulator IV, and Drill Rounds III.
Now what does this do for you? Well lemme educate yo buttz!
Your Hunter Mode lets you see enemies through walls, which complements the Javelin in BIG WAYS.
Your Javelin's gonna be your biggest friend with this build. You see, it has a native cover-penetration of 100cm and a native thermal scope (remember this. IT WILL BE IMPORTANT). With your HV barrel, Piercing Mod, and Drill Rounds, the cover-penetration jumps up to 5.9 METERS without any noticeable reduction in damage. What's more, the Javelin's thermal scope scales with the amount of penetration the weapon has. This means that you'll be able to see and shoot through practically anything. Since the Javelin is so heavy with these mods, I'd recommend loading out with something heavy and potent. I usually alternate between the Piranha and Hurricane, but prefer the latter because (A) I have it at a higher level and (B) it makes a cooler noise (I'm simple and have simple tastes)
Now your strategy is to find some nice cover, close to a thermal clip resupply depot, and CAMP YOUR LOVELY TITTERS OFF. Your Hunter Mode and Javelin will let you see and pick off anything that approaches you, while your Flamer and Hurricane let you deal with anything that slips too close or takes you by surprise.
What can you expect from this build? Well, I ran against the Collectors on Silver my last game and LET ME TELL YOU I HAD ME SOME FUN. While my teammates put themselves at risk getting close for tetchy Biotic Combos, I hid behind a wall and SKSed everything smaller than a Scion through said wall. Scions? Two shots at max, through a wall. Praetorians? Four shots, at max, through a wall. Abominations got Hurricane'd through the dome, thus negating their Kill-switches. THROUGH A WALL.
tl;dr, this build gives you wallhax. Use these wallhax to your advantage.
Yesterday I was scouring through an old drive of mine and found some choppy audio from many eons ago -- I think it was me sneezing in the IT room of my primary school.
