Its unfortunate that Axl ruins what is otherwise a pretty excellent album cut with this unhinged anti-press tirade that comes out of nowhere at 2:50. Calling out journalists by name, and making lewd comments about the publisher of Spin magazine is not a good look. By the end of the bridge, he’s essentially threatening the journalists with violence.

THIS SONG IS DEDICATED TO ALL THE GUNS N ROSES FANS WHO STUCK WITH US THROUGH ALL THE FUCKING SHIT AND TO ALL THOSE OPPOSED GET IN THE RING!

What sticks out about this song in 2019 is the press as the enemy mindset; “the media is lying to you but stick with us- we’ll give it you straight, and if we accidentally bruised a few lyin’ jouranlists who cares?” It has more than a tinge of the “fake news media” hysteria that we’re so used to now.
