   Alex stood by the railing, holding on to it as if his life depended on it. “I’ve never actually done this,” He had been roller skating before, but that felt like a lifetime ago, and he hadn’t been particularly good at it, while he assumed Willie, due to his experience in skateboarding, was VERY good at it.

Five wonders if Diego knows how very well he understands how he feels when asking that question. Forty-five years stuck in the apocalypse with no one to talk to, every day a constant battle for survival... There were times-- many times, in fact, that he thought he was going mad. Even now, he doubts himself. He wonders if somehow he’s been wrong all this time, and he’s simply dragging his family headfirst towards more danger.

          “If you can’t trust your own mind, trust me,” the Boy responds, kneeling beside his brother and resting a hand on his shoulder. Piercing green eyes hold Diego’s gaze, and he nods. “I’ve spent my whole life trying to protect you dipshits. I’m not about to let your singular braincell best me now.” A ghost of a smirk plays at the corner of Five’s lips and he offers Diego a hand.

          “Come on. I’ll help you to bed and you can sleep it off.”
