Why just watch it when you can fish it?!? Folks were saying that the eclipse can confuse wildlife into thinking that it's dusk. So I got to thinking, dusk is usually when the rise happens…if it's going to happen at all. It was the shortest one I've ever experienced…probably about three or four minutes. But the top water activity definitely changed. The birds got quiet, the crickets and toads started in, and the bass rose to the occasion.
