Hel altar piece DIY

I got bit by the creative bug today. I found a sad looking Mary bust at the thrift store and decided it would make a nice Hel. So I cleansed then washed her, put on several layers of gesso, and painted with acrylics. She has a couple clear coat sealers over top. I think she looks pretty happy sitting on my Loki altar. (I have a section for his children set up)
