Started working on my sign for trans pride. The quote is from G for Gendetta by Cheap Dirty Horse. “Gender is a cage and we’re all wild animals”. Felt so good to yell that when I saw them live a month or so back.

Just a (little, ha) crafty project I'd been working on for a while. I made this for my BFF Janine, just because. It was something I found in the cross stitching stuff her mom (Sue, who recently passed) gave to me when they were cleaning out Janine's Grandma Grace's things. It looked like Gracie was going to start it but she hadn't, so I figured I'd give it a go. It was pretty fiddly, what with the silver threads, and very small fabric, but it turned out really nice. And my friend who helped with the framing did an excellent job.

Made this emo monster with Toucan yarn from Hobbii and some leftovers. I feel like he would have been a hit at 2000s hot topic.

So this pattern I'm currently working on just leaves the white squares blank instead of filled in... which is understandable cos white thread on white aida is just...

But I've decided to use white thread anyway and the visible difference between the filled in dove and the blank dove is reassuring to me that I've made the right choice!
