I can’t help but stare at him.
Zach has... quieted since I met him. Which is weird, because I didn’t think he had a Quiet Mode. I understand that a tour of the city can be overwhelming, but I didn’t think it would overwhelm him to the point of having no questions.
I should be relieved, but I can’t help but be curious what’s going on.
He glances over at me and catches me watching him. “Don’t look at me like that,” he mutters.
Was that... rude? I’m almost impressed. “Like what?”
“Like I’m stupid.”
That wasn’t what I was trying to convey at all. “I--what? I don’t think you’re stupid.”
“I know you don’t like my questions,” he continues. “I’m just trying to understand, but that doesn’t make me dumb.”
“I don’t think that,” I defend. “I’m just used to people... already knowing all of this stuff.”
“But I don’t!” he exclaims. “And how am I going to learn all of this and learn how to be an Auxiliary at the same time? It’s too much.”
“Zach.” He looks up at me, and the tears I see welling up in his eyes almost deter me. “You’re forgetting one very important thing: me.”
My blatant hubris almost makes him smile. “I’m sure you’re important, but just like everything else, I don’t understand.”
“Rush made me your partner,” I remind him. “I might not be happy about it, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to do my job. I’ve been here for five years, and I can answer every question you throw at me. Trust me: I’ve got you.”
I had an idea for a story involving angels and my immediate thought was nooooo you already have such cool angels how could I ever compete? (seriously, I'm in love with LiaHT)

Tips on Consistently Posting about your WIPs
I think the main thing that helps my blog generate so much content is that I am constantly thinking about my wips. So if you’re like me and your WIPs are constantly on your mind, take those thoughts and post them! Even if they’re super short. Some of my recent posts have been one or two sentences long.
Then you can either reblog them again later and expand upon the thought you had, or pay attention to the reblogs and talk with other people about that thought!
Not every one of your random thoughts or character tidbits will get traction, and that’s okay. This particular method is more about quantity over quality.
Next, don’t be afraid to reblog things again and again! Obviously you want to take some time in between, so you’re not spamming the same content over and over, but if you’re having a slow time and can’t think of what to say? Reblog some of your better posts, moodboards, favorite or funny posts of yours, whatever!
Whenever I reblog things like worldbuilding posts or whatever, they usually get some attention and maybe spawn some asks from newer followers who weren’t around when I originally posted them. Voila!
Ask games and tag games are your friend! Can’t think of topics to talk about? Look! Entire lists of topics that other people have put together specifically for you to use!
And if you don’t get tagged in stuff or asked things from the games? Look at the list and pick a topic to talk about on your own. Look at the general format of tag games, what they talk about, and do that. Use them as inspiration and adapt them into your own posts! (with credit, of course)
See someone else’s post that reminds you of yours? Reblog, comment on their thing, and add on your own! As a hypothetical example…
Maybe a mutual is talking about their lesbian oc that day. You can add onto that post, engage with your mutual and comment on their oc, and then talk about your own lesbian oc! You get to talk with your friends and share about your stuff.

❤️: what’s the working title?
Well The Songbird’s Refrain has a real title, the first Sisters of Hecate book doesn’t even have a working title, and I’ve already talked about Morning’s Edge ... So let me give you a little sneak preview into what I may work on next: its working title is Fairbrooke Bridge!
💛: what is the title based on?
The story takes place in the town of Fairbrooke, and there is a bridge. Boom.
💔: give a brief character bio of your 3-5 MCs
Lydia: snarky, independent, a little rebellious but never does anything with the intention of being destructive. That said, she knows how to throw a punch and isn’t afraid to do it.
Eden: private, mysterious, matches the enthusiasm levels of whoever she’s talking to. Knows a lot about the forest in Fairbrooke, but not much about the world beyond it.
💝: who has your favorite character arch? give a brief summary

Do you have any advice on how to make a WIP page? Yours is so incredible I feel overwhelmed even thinking about trying
well, you’ve got me interested, because coding is my second favorite thing. i didn’t code the things for my blog only because.... it was too close to nano when i decided to start this.
(note that i’ve been thinking of coding together a wip page, so if anyone has any input on what they’d like to see in one, let me know!)
so to make a wip page less overwhelming, i generally look at how many wips i actually have. if i have a lot, it might be better for me to have a more minimalist page and shorter descriptions, without things like character lists and too much worldbuilding info. on the other hand, if i only have a few wips, i can probably afford to use a more complex page designed for more wips.
i did this with my blog. because i only have 3 to 4 wips that i consider wip page worthy, so to speak, i went with a more complex page.
from there, the tip that i have is don’t be afraid to change things or get rid of things. in the page i have now, i’m thinking of deleting the worldbuilding info from final stop, since it’s set in a relatively realistic universe. maybe you don’t like character lists, or you don’t feel like listing a word count - cut, cut, cut. the less work you make for yourself, the better. some people love hugely extravagant pages, and that’s fine, but i believe in the minimal amount of work.
then i usually open notepad or a doc and just quickly list out everything i need, with details like genre, title, synopsis, all that good stuff, and then i copy it over.
i do have some recs for wip pages. to me there are two kinds of wip pages - minimalist “bookshelf” style pages (to me, generally without images as well), and ones that are specifically wip-focused. i’ve listed some below.
